I'm a recent graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and majored in Mathematics during my college years. Currently, I'm a data scientist at a company. For work, I use statistics daily and it has become one of my strong suits. The majority of my work is technical, but I have to present these technical projects to none technical people. Thus, it has taught me a way to simplify and explain technical terms. Similarly, I can use this skill set to present complex math problems that can be understood by anyone and everyone.Since high school, I've been around tutoring centers and volunteered there to tutor SAT. From the volunteering experience, I gained a lot of understanding on working with high school students. I did a lot of SAT test prep with the students and corrected their mistakes on each incorrect math problem. Also, I have previous experience in tutoring from elementary to college math. For example, some of these sections include calculus, algebra, geometry, etc. When I took the SAT back in high school, I got a perfect score in the math section and on the math II subject test as well. In turn, I am confident that I can tutor students of all grade levels and of various math skillset. For college students specifically, I have a great study plan that can help them with improving their grades and understand the math concepts that are taught in class. This plan got me through the rigorous courses of my own years at GT, so I am confident in its implementation. I am currently also studying to take the GMAT, and it has been a great refresher on the different math subjects that I have learned throughout the years. It will come in handy when I am determining personalized ways to help my students.In my role as a tutor, I hope to provide consultation to those seeking a tutor and understand their situation first and foremost. Following that, I will host their first tutoring session and give them an idea of what my ways of teaching are like. If they are satisfied, I would continue with my material. If there are some issues with the method or misunderstandings on the topics, I would be happy to see what changes can be made to better accommodate them. My students' abilities to do better on what they need help on is the most important aspect.

I am currently a third year undergraduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, studying International Affairs and Japanese. Throughout my time as a student, I have garnered writing and editing experience through practice. My own report writing and editing have given me a tight grasp on English, as well as my experience tutoring my peers in the conventions of writing.I also have experience working with younger children, having interned as an English Language Arts and Social Studies teaching assistant for grades three and four. I finished with straight As in my math and science classes; I always appreciated the concepts I learned and always sought for how concepts were applicable in reality. I satisfied my hunger indirectly by helping my friends, classmates, and other students understand difficult concepts. So I became a very motivated math tutor always willing to help students improve grades and understand several Math concepts. Of course, I always attended all my lectures and sought to understand the professor's as well as teaching assistant's approach to solving problems and simplifying concepts.I provide step-by-step detailed solutions and explanations to students. I love seeing students comprehend concepts they thought to have been difficult. I have had passed experiences working with the Mathematics Department at the Academic Success Center at my first learning institution in Math classes ranging from College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus 1, 2 and 3 and Linear Algebra. I look for the simplest approach as well as providing pictorial/graphical explanations so that students can grasp concepts better by not only memorizing theories, formulas and identities. That foundation has played a major role in my academic success. Because of those experiences and my passion for learning, I want to be that tutor for a student who is struggling to understand a concept that I once struggled with myself.

I'm currently a student at Georgia Tech studying mechanical engineering. I'm able to tutor math up to Calulus 2 and Physics 1. I love both subjects and I love problem solving in real life applications hence why I went into the engineering field. I believe that anyone can learn and become good at anything if there mind is put into it, but sometimes the biggest struggle is how to find that right mindset. I am a current biochemistry student at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GT), graduating in May 2021. I decided to tutor online because, during my academic studies, I had encountered the moments when I was looking for help to do my assignments or reports but I was unable to find an expert. Therefore, I am here for you. During my college studies, I participated in two research projects about cellulose-based hydrogel synthesis and tertiary amine saline water filtration. If you are interested, I will be happy to have discussions about these topics. During my project, I managed a group of high school students and tutored them on organic chemistry topics. I enjoyed the interaction I had and learned how passionate I am to teach the knowledge I have gained through academic studies. My favorite topics to tutor are biology and chemistry, as I spent more than 80 hours of credit in school to learn different aspects of these topics. I enjoy chemistry the most because you can feel what you learn and the principles existing in your daily manner, including cooking. Therefore, to my opinion, chemistry is tangible.
