About Me

I want to use my strongest academic competences and experiences to enhance the learning progress of students seeking a more one-to-one approach to education. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor's of Arts in Chemistry both attained from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington in 2014. I have a lengthy background in math and sciences, but I have also become a strong writer through academics and personal achievements. I have offered homework help in various forms to younger students throughout my life. My most recent and most rewarding experiences were while living abroad in South Africa in 2013. While there, I volunteered as a lab assistant, travelled quite a bit, and I attended university courses, one of which allowed my to tutor underprivileged youths in the Port Elizabeth metro area. The organization, known as Sinethemba, offered a place of refuge and focus for these kids who would otherwise have none. A few other university students (ages 5-18) and myself tutored these students in every subject from math and geography, to English as a second language.
