I graduated from Rowan University in New Jersey. I have a degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. I have been teaching for 22 years. I have taught math from 1st to 12th grade. I use the knowledge of what I have taught in the past to help with the future. I like to break the math down into easier concepts to understand. I love Math and I love to help others to start understanding Math a little better. I always tell my students that questions are the best thing you can have. I love when questions are asked to me and I will answer the same questions several different ways if i need to. I am very patient and my main goal is for students to like math a little more than when they started class with me.

Hi! It's nice to meet you. Prior to becoming a Varsity tutor, I studied Writing Arts at Rowan University and earned a Bachelor of Arts. My education afforded diverse course studies, including Creative Writing, Tutoring Writing, The Writer's Mind, Writing Children's Stories, and World Literature, to name a few. Some of my academic writing strengths include spelling and grammar editing, working a "flow" into a paper, and grabbing the audience's attention. Whether you need help brainstorming or polishing your work, we'll create something great! Looking forward to working with you!
I am a firm believer that there is not one right way to learn new information. Every person is unique and, thus, has a unique learning ability. I enjoy teaching and tutoring because it allows me to share my knowledge, learn and implement various learning techniques designed for individual needs, and gain a deeper understanding of the subject material. I was raised in New Jersey, where I completed a Bachelor's of Chemistry and a Master's of Molecular Pathology and Immunology. Throughout my graduate career and immediately following completion of the program, I gained extensive experience in wet lab and molecular research. The skills developed in my scientific research equipped me with knowledge and experience that I implement regularly in teaching general biology to college students. I believe that a basic understanding of how life works is vital because we are confronted with scientific events every day. The interest and appreciation of science is enhanced when we can relate the concepts to our every day lives; and, this is what I try to instill in my students. I also have experience in scientific writing, having been published and engaged in multiple peer-reviewed articles. I, thus, feel confident in assisting in writing and reviewing written works. In my spare time, I really enjoy getting involved in my local community theatre groups, spending time with family, exercising and reading.

I have wanted to become a teacher since 3rd grade, and I accomplished that goal. I have a degree in Elementary Education and Writing Arts and graduated in the top of my class. I have been teaching for over 5 years. I love helping students learn their potential- potential that is hidden right inside you! I have always called my students friends because that's what they are to me. I love learning about who they are as a person. I have always called my students friends because I want them to know that I respect them as a person. I will work hard to help them accomplish all that they want. I still keep in contact with past students because I am that interested in their lives. I cherish our time together and will help them grow into all that they want to be. I decided to use my other degree to cross off another goal that I had, and that was to become a children's book author. My book came out in March of 2024 and teaches children about their mental health-struggling, shyness, and making friends. I wanted to create a book that students could relate to and trust in. I truly care about each and every student and care about what's on the inside but also what surrounds them. That is truly how students can succeed- by creating a plan with everyone in their life. When we are all working together that's when the student feels loved, trusted, and blossoms in their studies and life.

College Professor with 8 years of Math Teaching Experience and TESOL Cert.If you are looking for an experienced Math teacher to help your child overcome their fear of math, I am here to help!I taught math in Middle School, High School, and College level. Additionally, I taught summer programs like GEAR UP and Summer Institute for the Gifted and did private tutoring. I started teaching Business Math, Statistics and Calculus, but quickly realized that foundational mathematics was what a lot of my students needed. Some were told that math was hard, others had elementary teachers that were scared of math themselves, and still others did not have good experiences with the content. But, together, we can overcome all that!I believe, and know, that each child is able to learn and be good at math! We need to build their skills and confidence. A patient teacher is needed, as well as a creative approach to teaching the concepts. The teacher should not be a lecturer but a coach that helps the child discover the path to the answer. I look forward to helping your child love math! Sign up for one of my classes today!

I graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Management Information Systems. As a student who once struggled with classes in the past, I truly know the difference a good tutor can make. Tutors have the ability to break subjects down into more understandable ways for people who do not see things in the black and white ways that they are taught in schools. I believe that I have the skills to help others learn in new and creative ways like I was taught. There were many times where I faced difficult subjects in school. After almost giving up, once problems were re-worded or used in an applicable way, they were more understandable. I hope to be able to help others as a tutor by helping them find their best learning styles.
As a college student studying to be an elementary school teacher, I have learned how to engage students in their learning by making them active participants. I believe that students learn by doing and a teacher is there to encourage and guide the students through each step of the way!

During my time at Drexel I was fortunate enough to participate in the Maryanoff Fellowship program with a focus on nanotechnology research. My goal was annealing silver nanoparticles into nanowires. My focus then shifted to organic chemistry education utilizing first person shooter video game software. I always had an eye for being an educator, even in my undergraduate days. I then pursued a graduate degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I was voted class vice president and was introduced to my first leadership role in an academic setting. I had a wonderful time at PCOM including doing an internship at the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office. My education has given me a deep understanding of scientific concepts while also helping me develop strong critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills. I enjoy helping students break down complex topics into clear, manageable ideas and building confidence in their ability to understand the material. I like to focus on explaining concepts in a way that makes sense to them and connecting the material to real-world examples whenever possible. I also enjoy helping students with essay editing and academic writing. My background in both the sciences and anthropology has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, organize ideas, and refine arguments while maintaining a student's voice. I aim to make the editing process collaborative and encouraging, helping students feel more confident in their writing skills. Overall, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing academically.
I just graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rowan University with a B.S. in Mathematics, minor in Computer Science, and a concentration in Applied Math. What I am trying to say is that I love math. I love doing it, talking about it, and teaching others about it.
