I graduated from Farmingdale State College in 2017, where I received my A.S. in Liberal Arts and Science. Currently, I am enrolled at Norfolk State University to obtain my BA in Interdisciplinary Studies.I have worked with children for 5+ years as a tutor and teacher's assistant for grades 3 and 4. In this role, I prepare children for state examinations. Although I specialize in tutoring Math, ELA, and Writing, my favorite subject is Science.I enjoy helping children build their academic confidence and develop a love for learning. I am passionate about children reaching their highest potential and committed to providing strategies to help students succeed.

I love it when students are successful in mathematics! I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and have been in education for 25 years. During my time in education, I have served as a secondary mathematics instructor, district administrator, and instructional coach. Throughout my years, I have tutored students in a variety of mathematical topics and test preparation. I sincerely believe ALL students can do math! Outside of my passion for mathematics, I spend time with my family playing sports and watching shows.
I am an environmental scientist, and a tutor with Know Moor, LLC. I have 10+ years experience tutoring Math (Algebra I, II, Pre-calculus, Geometry, etc.) and Science (Physics, Chemistry, physical science, etc.). I am also in the Army reserves so I have experience with the ASVAB military extrance exam.My degree in Physics, and experience in graduate school has enabled me to take classes like Quantum Physics, Classical Mechanics, Atmospheric Physics, and 3 semesters of Calculus. I've also learned a great deal about climate science as I have a Master's degree in Atmospheric Science. I have had the pleasure to teach all of these subjects through tutoring or in the classroom.Fortunately, I received a full academic scholarship for tuition and room and board in college. I always encourage a STEM major to students looking for ways to pay for college, if a student is interested in Science, Math, or technology.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science and minor in Kinesotherapy. Since graduating I have taught students from Elementary to Middle health and physical education. I been a Physical Education teacher for the last four years.

I enjoy teaching students who have a desire to understand. This innate desire is a quality that should be nurtured and guided so a student can excel in their courses and beyond. I will work with students as much as I can to help them achieve their goals.
My name is Rainier Berkley and I am a recent physics graduate of Norfolk State University who has a strong passion for learning, helping others and solving complex mathematical and physical problems. I seek to put my love for learning all things mathematical and physical to use in finding solutions on a global scale for the good of mankind. I firmly believe in the "reach one teach one" philosophy because for every person I reach out and help hopefully they too can reach out and teach somebody else what I taught them and we all can grow as a unified whole one person at a time. This has ultimately led me to get involved in numerous tutoring and mentoring opportunities to give back and help out on a local level, because I can not only kill two birds with one stone but I can also build connections with people and improve upon my own problem-solving abilities simultaneously. I have been tutoring for a grand total of six plus years now in various mathematics courses ranging from algebra to differential equations and in physics courses ranging from algebra-based to calculus-based physics. I have tutored people through various different platforms inclusive of phone calls, video calls, video recordings, text messaging and last but not least in person. I have tutored all age groups starting with elementary school kids up to full fledged adults in college level studies. I have experience in standardized testing preparation since I have aided my peers, students and even a teacher in SOL testing, AP physics, the math section of the GRE and MCAT physics problems. This constant exposure has permitted me to experience new and different modes of thinking, perspectives, backgrounds and problem-solving techniques. Nothing brings me more joy then seeing one of my tutees succeed, learn and thrive in their coursework. My ultimate goal as a tutor is to help instill the necessary mindset for students to be able to adequately approach, understand, break down and solve problems by their lonesome and for any other up and coming students.
I graduated from Norfolk State University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Even though I enjoy the sciences, I have always had a love for numbers! I have been successfully tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics for over 8 years, helping students from elementary school to college make great academic advancements. I am a highly motivated and energetic tutor who personalizes my tutoring style based on the learning style and personality of the student. I fully dedicate myself to the student by ensuring that they have confidence in completely understanding the concepts behind the material that is being reviewed. I am a firm believer that anyone can excel in any subject depending on how the material is being presented. In my spare time, I love to dance, sew, play on my guitar, and work on projects where my creative side can run wild!
I am a recently retired Special Education teacher of 31.5 years! I decided to become involved with tutoring because I miss the interaction with students in the areas of supporting their learning growth! I am a graduate of Norfolk State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a graduate of Pennsylvania State University receiving a Master of Education in Special Education. Since graduation, I have taught in self-contained and collaborative settings. The settings include elementary, middle and high school. I also spent time as an adjunct teacher in the Special Education department. My experience as a teacher began in elementary school as a collaborative teacher in in grades 3-5. I moved to middle school self contained experiences teaching all content areas. An opportunity became available for me to teach in high school as a self-contained science teacher. While teaching in middle school, I had a great opportunity to become a Special Education Department Chairperson. During this time as a department chair, I was able to support my teachers in improving the education lives of students. Making sure the educational, personal and school experience was one positive package for students success in and out of school. Although, I have had a variety of grade level teaching experiences, my greatest joy was using my expertise and creativity in helping struggling learners to understand how they learn in the areas of reading, writing and science! These subjects are special content areas for me because I can be creative in the presentation of information.
Hi, my goal is to help students to discover the joys of learning and to assist them in developing the skills and attitudes that will serve them throughout their academic careers and beyond.
I believe every child can learn. Children do not grow alike, so why do we expect them to learn alike?
