I've worked as teacher at the collegiate level for close to ten years. In that time, I've worked with many, many students of varying skill levels and ages. I've learned that success has much more to do with discipline and focus than it does god-given talent. Writing is a process with its own rules-rules that all students can learn with patience. It's important to remember, though, that the craft of writing is also about adaptation and improvisation. These are all virtues I regard highly and look to instill them in my students whenever possible.
I am passionate about tutoring because I believe education has the power to build confidence and create lasting opportunities for students. My teaching philosophy focuses on meeting students where they are, adapting my approach to their individual learning styles, and creating a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are seen as part of the learning process.
