I received my undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Stephen F. Austin State University and my Masters in Biological Sciences from LSU - S. I have 6 years of K-12 teaching experience, as well as tutoring experience, and I am currently a college professor of Anatomy and Physiology. I have worked as a tutor for my own students, privately and with Sylvan Learning Centers. I am very familiar with the STAAR and TAKS learning objectives and have worked with at-risk students, gifted and talented, special ed, and English Language Learners in Science and Spanish for grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-11. I tutor Earth Science, Spanish (all levels), Life Sciences, PSAT, SAT, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology and Study Skills. I am a strong believer that every student is responsible for their own learning - with the right guidance. I believe that with my guidance the student will be able to reach his/her academic goals.

CPA and Cryptocurrency Accountant - I received my Masters of Accounting at Louisiana State University. I love tutoring and mentoring students to become successful CPAs and Financial Professionals.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 1996. I then decided I wanted to return to school to become a certified teacher. I earned my Teaching Certigication from Northwestern State University in 2001. I have taught all grades PreK- 5th grade. There are areas in each grade level that I enjoy so much. I believe all children can learn. Every child learns information and skills at their own pace and children have areas where they excel. It's perfectly fine to need some extra practice. Maybe having information explained in a different way or a different setting would be beneficial for some students.

I bring energy and energize! I am committed to lifelong learning and always improving myself and others. I am excited to share my experiences in order to show that education CAN BE fun and that it can open many doors for you in life.... it's just all about perspective!I attended the United States Naval Academy and was a linebacker for the football team from 2011-2015. I earned my Bachelors of Science in History. The Naval Academy challenged me in ways I did not know were possible. I was tested every single day mentally, morally, and physically. The Naval Academy is an Engineering school and all students are required to take dozens of credits of technical STEM courses to include thermodynamics, electrical engineering, cyber security, physics, chemistry, calculus, and computer systems engineering. Not only was I pushed academically but I was pushed as a leader. You are expected to develop your own leadership style and practice it every day. I held numerous instructor and leadership positions while at the Naval Academy and found my love for teaching.Upon graduation, I was commissioned into the United States Marine Corps my job as a Financial Manager. My passion for finance was sparked once I began my work as a financial manager. I applied for grad school and began my MBA with a concentration in finance shortly after from LSUS. It was at this point that I knew that I wanted to make finance a career. I currently hold the Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant and Retirement Income Certified Professional Designations. I also have great experience preparing others for the SIE, Series 65, and Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Examinations.I am excited to get to know you and your goals and desires!

Hello! I'm Alexis Kelley! In Louisiana, I have begun volunteering with Baton Rouge Youth Coalition where I help senior students complete the college application process from finding fit to writing essays. Having just recently gone through this process and successfully navigating elite admissions like Columbia, Cornell, and Duke I feel equipped (and excited!) to share my advice. Whether this looks like help putting your story into words on the common application essay or determining the best colleges to apply to, I would love to be a part of this process. All through high school I was a math tutor ranging in topics from basic elementary math to AP Calculus! I really enjoy teaching math (especially algebra and calculus!!). I would also be more than happy to help with any standardized testing prep. I want to help students reach their maximum potential and achieve the target scores they're looking for! I am super eager to meet you and get started!
I believe that every student can enjoy learning when they find success in learning. I want my students to become independent, self-motivated learners.
