I believe my role as an elementary teacher is to nurture and encourage the lifelong learning of my students. Through hands-on activities, classroom discussion, and even the use of humor, I hope to prompt students to think creatively and explore their natural curiosity by asking many questions and evaluating many answers. I am strongly committed to bringing students to mastery. To accomplish this, I thought it was important that I am trained and educated extensively in this field. This is why I have obtained not only a Bachelor's degree in education, but I have obtained a Master's degree as well. Even with the most thorough training, mastering academics cannot be achieved without creating a welcoming space for learning friends.

Hello! My name is Jeanine. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education with a certification in English from Lakeland College and the state of Wisconsin. I also am TESOL and TEFL certified. I have over 15 years experience teaching children ages 4 to 14 years old. I also have experience teaching English to children from many countries including Mexico, China, Japan, and Germany. I continue to teach children everyday, and I love it. My classroom is exciting and interactive, because I believe that learning is easier through engaging activities. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging in a patient and caring way. I can't wait to meet your child and help them learn English. See you in the classroom!

I am a strong believer in life-long learning. I am a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where I received my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts with a Minor in English. I also completed my Reading Certification from Viterbo University. Helping students gain confidence in the area of academics is a great part of my passion. In my experience with helping struggling students improve, I work exceptionally hard to provide strategies and engaging opportunities to support student success. I also strive to support all learners in an effort to improve the quality of their lives. In my spare time, I like to listen to music, dance and watch funny movies.

I changed my career to teaching in 2016 by completing a program at Marian University for a teaching certification for grades 1-8. My path to teaching wasn't clear cut and straight but I believe I have gained many life skills in my previous career that I have and will continue to implement in the classroom. I am very involved in my professional development and consistently looking to learn more. Being in the teacher career I have continued my education by adding on a Master of Arts in At-Risk and Alternative Education, some studies in a Reading Teacher Certification, and more recently enrolling in a Master of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education. I am currently in my third term at WGU working towards completing the secondary mathematics degree which is expected to be completed in the fall of 2025. Aside from formal education, I continue to look for ways to help my students feel empowered to follow any path they may choose and any dreams they may have. I want to create life-long learners, like myself, by preparing them to positively impact the world at any age. I believe that my students and I are a community--a family, working together to become better thinkers and creating meaningful and memorable relationships with them.

I am a licensed Physical Therapist. I have been in school and learning for 20 years, and had to create various strategies for studying and learning. I am eager to share these strategies with others, and love to share my knowledge with others

I am a 2011 graduate of Lakeland College with majors in Spanish, Accounting, and International Business. Although my current career path has me focused on Accounting, I truly love the Spanish language! While I was in college, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the Spanish language and the culture of a Spanish-speaking country when I attended a summer program at the "Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara" located in Jalisco, Mexico. I look forward to sharing these experiences with my students that are studying Spanish.When it comes to tutoring, I am very interested in learning styles and I love using creative ways to teach and learn. For example, I think using songs and games are a great way for students to remember information. Taking the time to learn outside of the textbook in these ways can really help students apply information and be successful.

I am an undergraduate student obtaining a degree in pre-nursing. I like helping students because I have been that student that has struggled myself, and I see helping others as one of my life purposes.I worked with students in an academic and performing arts setting. I worked with kindergarten, first, and second graders in math, reading, and science. In the performing arts setting I taught music and dance.On Varsity Tutors I tutor in a variety of math based topics and music/music theory. I love math but music is a passion.My tutoring style is based on conforming to what will best help the student learn and grasp the subject. I value making the student feel comfortable and learning based on his/her learning style.
