I am a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and San Diego State University, and possess degrees in English and Creative Writing. In the fall of 2012 I moved to Fort Worth, where I am currently pursuing my PhD in American Literature, in addition to tutoring for Varsity.

I am a 9 year veteran of tutoring, starting as a freshman in High School volunteering to help young students with their homework. I continued in college tutoring the STEM fields for college and high school students., especially Calculus, Basic Computer Science. I also tutored Essay Writing, Creative Writing, Speech in school. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a Bachelors in Computer Science in May 2014.

I am an avid reader, racing through audio books in particular, since I am a master multi-tasker. I enjoy doing some freelancing editing work on the side as well. I have a special talent for teaching in in multiple modalities and from a variety of perspectives, a skill that most likely comes from my own experience with dyslexia. I am a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, earning a bachelors degree in Communication Studies. I continued in that subject matter at the University of Iowa, where I earned a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Communication Studies, with emphasis in rhetoric, interpersonal communication, and persuasion. I also earned a J.D. at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and am a member of the Minnesota bar.

I am a senior English major with minors in Religion and Comparative Literature. At college, I am co-president of a book club, and I work as a Writing Tutor for a general education curriculum. My enthusiasm for literature, editing, and writing help me in those positions.

I am a professional chemist with a Ph.D. from Texas A&M. I have 4 children 16,13,13,11 and since we homeschool I am very involved in their education. Personally, I am very involved in my kids sports and school. I like to run and play competitive sand volleyball.
