My mission is to provide confidence and self-esteem through the empowerment of knowledge and education.

I'm a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer with over 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry. I have a MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Finance. I've previously tutored middle school children in-person in Math, Science and English during the summers. I am also a certified ESL instructor and I currently tutor adults and children in different countries (mainly in Asia) looking to improve their English. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Personal Finance. In my experience tutoring students, we always seem to have the most fun, but the classes are life-changing at the same time. I am a firm proponent of education; believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy working out at the gym, practicing yoga and traveling with my family and friends. I also love to dance. I hope to see you in class soon!
I have been teaching Psychology for 20+ years and have extensive experience in the field as a counselor and an instructor. I was a Teaching Assistant in graduate school and have lots of tricks for learning and understanding concepts in psychology. I think that psychology is relevant to everyone because we live it every day, whether it's how our brains work, how others influence our behaviors, or how we perceive the world around us! I would love to work with you!
Even before completing my major in Spanish, I loved to instruct people in Spanish. I was always looking for ways to use my communication skills in Spanish; whether it was instructing or interpreting. I love to teach. After graduating I taught Spanish and Music Appreciation for a year. I taught 5th and 6th grade Spanish, High School Spanish, and Music Appreciation to grades 5K through 4th. My style and approach is often more instructional. I provide sufficient knowledge of the grammatical rules and give auditory and visual examples of their use in everyday dialogue. To fully exploit the capabilities of a student in a foreign language, I provide activities that will enhance communication, interpretative, and presentational skills. I hammer on repetition for both the written aspect and the communication of Spanish. Apart from teaching, I love music. I work as a Youth Worship Leader at a church. I train young musicians and singers. I play guitar, piano, drums, and bass. I enjoy going to concerts and anything else to do with live music performances. I love to read, research history and politics, keep up with current news, and attempt to play soccer during my free time.

During my undergraduate studies, I served as a part-time Math and Physics Tutor at the FMU Tutoring Center from 2012 to 2015. As a math and physics tutor, I strive to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to flourish in their future endeavors.
I am a certified K-6 teacher in both North and South Carolina.I have been teaching for 11 years with grades second-sixth. I have worked both in private and public schools throughout my teaching profession. I currently work as a 6th grade teacher in the area and absolutely love working with children to help them succeed. I can tutor in both reading and math for elementary school and help with test prep to help your child pass those End of Grade test. I have a way with students that gets them motivated to want to learn and to make sure what they learn sticks and is not forgotten. I am very familiar with the common core in both reading and math and know what your child needs to learn in their current grade level and beyond.
I believe every student can become a confident, capable reader with the right support and encouragement. I provide patient, engaging, and individualized literacy tutoring for students who need extra guidance in reading and language development. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and empowered to grow at their own pace. I help students strengthen foundational reading skills, improve fluency and comprehension, and build confidence in their abilities. Because every child learns differently, I tailor my instruction to each student's unique learning style and needs. Through encouragement, consistency, and effective literacy strategies, I help students make meaningful academic progress while fostering a love of learning. Families can expect dependable communication, compassionate support, and a tutor who is genuinely invested in each student's success.
I am a recent graduate of Francis Marion University with a degree in B.S. of Biology and a Minor in Philosophy and Religious Studies. I tutor in High School Biology and Chemistry; this also includes College level Biology and Chemistry. These fields of science are in my opinion the best way to understand the natural world scientifically, while philosophy is a means of expressing it in open thought. The way I tutor is based on what the student knows about a specific topic. From there I can fill in the gaps and reinforce the content.
