I am currently a first grade teacher in Philadelphia. I have been teaching for 5 years and have also taught sixth grade. I am a graduate of Shippensburg University. I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I also received my Masters in Education with a Reading Specialist Certification from Cabrini College. I am certified in Middle Years Mathematics and English as a Second Language (ESL) as well.

I am certified in: Elementary Education (K-6), Middle School English (7-9) and Middle School Mathematics (7-9). Most of my teaching experience has been with prekindergarten, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade.

I am certified to teach math in PA and NJ for students in grade 7 - 12. I have taught some of everything from 7th grade math to calculus. I look forward to helping you increase your math skills.

I am a well qualified and enthusiastic educator with experience in the classroom. I have successfully tutored from 5th grade to adult learners in many areas. My aim is to personalize every experience working on individual strengths and weaknesses and build confidence for future success within the subject.

I am a graduate of Susquehanna University where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the field of History. At the same time I received a second degree in Secondary Education. I am very excited to be a part of the varsity tutors team. I have been an educator for over 13 years and really enjoy helping learners grow. I know how much one on one teaching and reinforcement increases a learner's knowledge base and success. My other passion is coaching wrestling which I did for nine years from the junior high level through the junior college level. Therefore I also understand the importance of the student in student athlete and love working with athletes as well.
