I have a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Lehigh University, which I attended, after earning an Army ROTC scholarship. Subsequently, I spent three years serving as an Armor officer at Fort Knox, Kentucky. It was there that I gained my first teaching experience. I instructed students ranging from new recruits to senior officers and enlisted soldiers. After completing my service obligation, I earned a law degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Journalism degree from Temple University. While working as a Graduate Assistant at Temple, I gained additional teaching experience in front of the classroom and with individual students in the computer lab. After graduating, I worked for 10 years in Public Relations, which allowed me to utilize my writing skills. As a Tutor, my focus is on Reading Comprehension, Grammar Usage and Writing. Once that key is found, learning becomes adventurous - and even enjoyable :) Though I have successfully helped students in many traditional K - 12 classrooms from Ohio to the Carolinas, I find that tutoring presents the best opportunity to discover just what it is that will help each student learn.I became a teacher because of a teacher in my own life who exemplified the personal responsibility and duty it takes to be effective in the lives of students.
