About Me

I have a B.A. in History from Georgia State University and taught my own four children via a home school curriculum, as we traveled the world for my previous job. During that time, we lived in seven countries on four continents and visited dozens more. It was a great learning experience for all of us, but we are happy to be back home. Additionally, I taught at a school for gifted and above average students in Indiana. My courses included Algebra, History, Geography, Economics, and Personal Finance. I tutor Math, History, Reading, Writing and a few other subjects; however, my favorite subject to tutor is math. It is also the one subject where, I feel, a good tutor/teacher can impact a student's performance the most. I believe learning should be fun. If you aren't having fun, you're doing it wrong. I like to laugh and do it often. I have always tested well, particularly in math, but I am not bookish, stale, or boring. I have four children - all teenagers! So I am a little crazy; however, I have developed a large amount of patience.
