I am very dedicated to helping students excel in school and in helping them develop study methods and styles that work best for them and that will serve them throughout school. I previously tutored with Boys Hope Girls Hope in Evanston, IL. I tutored middle and high school students in Spanish and English, and I was able to help them develop study strategies such as using flashcards or translating a sentence they had spoken aloud that day in their heads for extra language practice. I am very excited to be able to tutor again and to work with students. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a previously struggling student excel and to have helped them improve along the way. I am a current law student at Washington University in St. Louis and also graduated summa cum laude from their undergraduate program in 2014. I have dual citizenship with the US and Chile, and my hispanic roots have always been very important to me. I grew up speaking Spanish but have also dedicated a significant portion of my academic studies to Spanish language and literature as well. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and take pride in helping make the Spanish language and various Spanish-speaking cultures more accessible to anyone willing to learn.

I am a second year law student at the University of Chicago who hails from the San Francisco Bay Area! I tutor the SAT, ESL, and Spanish. I was an AVID tutor in high school, and after college I taught an ESL class and tutored a high school student in Spanish. In law school, I am involved with the Lawyers in the Classroom program. My tutoring philosophy is based on listening to students work through problems and helping them to spot their confusions or incorrect assumptions. I believe students learn much better when they aren't simply told the right answer or right reasoning; they need to get there on their own.

I am a student at Boston College studying Economics and English. I have an excellent academic record, haven taken 14 AP courses throughout high school, and have preformed well on many standardized exams. I strive to help other students to do the same! I have three years of experience tutoring peers at high school, college, and privately, primarily in English, Math, and SAT prep. Though I tutor a range of subjects, I am most passionate about helping students conquer Standardized Tests (specifically the reading and writing sections) and English. I want to help students excel on Standardized Exams so they can pursue their higher education goals. I direct my tutoring towards identifying students' learning methods and catering to those to establish continued engagement in doing so, I hope to foster a love of learning similar to mine. Outside of tutoring and school, I enjoy reading and believe that reading consistently is the key to succeeding in writing and preforming well on Standardized Exams. My love for creative writing has also led me to draft a novel which I am continuing to edit, and as an Assistant Director of the Campus Activities Board at Boston College I plan live music-focused events to engage students on campus.

At Loyola University Chicago, I continued to tutor a variety of subjects while earning a Master of Arts in Medical Sciences.

I attended the Bergen County Academies in New Jersey, a selective, application-based magnet school, for high school.

I am currently a fourth year medical student in Chicago. I attended the University of Notre Dame for undergrad, where I was a double major in Chinese and pre-medicine. When I am not studying, I enjoy spending time with family, volunteering, traveling, baking, and being active. I love sharing with others the knowledge and advice I have received in my education.

I am a self-motivated, results-driven educator who enjoys teaching/tutoring students of all stages and from diverse backgrounds. I have a doctorate in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois, Chicago and over 5 years' experience teaching college level biology courses in classroom (as a teaching assistant) and in private tutoring settings. In my teaching/tutoring roles, I plan and lead discussion sections in Mendelian and Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry, and Cell Biology. I create worksheets and practice questions to help student prepare for exams.
