I have a background in nannying as well, so connecting with kids comes naturally to me. I have a master's degree in social work, meaning that I am able to compassionately support your child as they learn, while also providing a strong foundation for college and post graduate study skills. I specialize in SAT tutoring & emphasize using DEMOS and test taking skills to focus on increasing scores. Students preparing for the SAT with me can expect a custom study plan and individual assignments each week. I take a broad approach to prepare students as much as possible for the exam by practicing strategies based on general question type rather than focusing on content. It's better to study the test than to study the content during tutoring, and I've had great results with this approach!
