Howdy, my name is Titus Klutz. I am a Sr. In Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. I absolutely love physics and math and like watching how it is applied in the world around us. My desire is to show students how beautiful these subjects are. Achieving the moment in learning where the topics clicks is amazing. I hope to share with everyone the love for these subjects that I have.

I am a mentor because I wish for others to have the same opportunity for motivation and success as I had from my teachers in high school. My mentoring experience has been primarily in three different areas. First, I have had direct involvement mentoring middle school students in mathematics through my local dentist's office. From there, I quickly learned that no experience is quite as unique or as rewarding as seeing a child have that light bulb moment when they finally understand a difficult problem or concept. Additionally, the lesson does not stop with just academics either. I have found that, in developing relationships with these students, I got to better understand them as people and adjust my methods accordingly. My second experience mentoring comes directly from teaching English to children of all ages in Oudong, Cambodia. Due to my limited understanding of the local language and teaching multiple levels of English at once, I was compelled to be creative to ensure all of my students understood our lessons. I developed lesson plans around the curriculum that featured games, singing, and dancing, finding alternative methods of expressing meaning to be very important in learning difficult concepts. This has had important ramifications for my style of mentoring; creativity and being able to think of ideas in different matters are useful to everyone trying to learn something new. Lastly, I have had the opportunity to extend my understanding of others in my work as a Democracy Fellow. Part of the mission of my university's Democracy and Public Discourse Initiative is to teach constructive practices of engagement and communication on topics of community concern. Through such projects as our freshman mental health conversations and our forum on substance abuse in in the county, I have learned that the best work is done on the grounds of a common understanding amongst diverse viewpoints. Ultimately, I hope to extend my training and the basic philosophy of freedom of expression as a method of making my mentees feel welcome in conversing with me.

I've spent a great deal of time living and traveling outside of the USA, mostly throughout Latin America. I believe learning new languages can open so many doors and teach you so much about other people, places, cultures - and more about yourself! I am passionate about helping others learn a new language and have spent a significant amount of time dedicated to education. I've lived and studied in Uruguay, Mexico, and Chile and I received my BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After college I taught and worked in the education realm in both Peru and Mexico City. Most recently, I've spent my time in the US working for educational nonprofits like Teach For America and the KIPP charter network. I love teaching and learning - I believe everyone has their own learning style and am always happy to get innovative and find new learning techniques to ensure you're getting the most from your learning experience. Outside of teaching, I own my own small business which allows me to travel to Mexico a few times a year. I also love being outside hiking with my family and pup!

Hello, my name is Kaydian and I'm originally from the beautiful island of Jamaica where I spent most of my childhood. I attended the University of New Orleans and graduated Summa Cum Laude with University and Departmental Honors in Chemistry. I was also elected Outstanding University Graduate by the Honors College. I currently teach Chemistry to 10th and 11th grade students in Miramar, Florida and I'm certified to teach Chemistry and Biology. I've tutored in English, Math, and Science at the elementary through college levels. I love to write poetry, plan interactive programs for young people and inspire youth to reach their full potential.

I am a student born and raised in NYC . I can teach a variety of subjects, such as Spanish, Math, and History. I am able to play and teach saxophone.

I have a BA in Psychology from The College of William and Mary, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University, and a PhD in Educational Psychology and Special Education from George Mason University.As an Educational Psychologist, I look at each individual learner as a puzzle that needs to be solved. When working with young learners, I see myself as tutoring not just the child, but the parents as well. I want to equip learners with the tools they need to be successful outside of our sessions. I have experience working with students with a variety of special needs, including ADHD, autism, behavioral issues, and lack of motivation.My approach to test prep sessions is to equip students with the best strategies for test-taking. Test-taking is a skill, and being ill-equipped in that skill area should not be a barrier to your larger goals.

I was a former professor at Kansas State University and an instructor at University of Houston. I am passionate about learning and teaching. I am a firm believer of good education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, better refined being. I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.

Knowledge is my passion and education is a way to pass this passion to my students. Playing is one of the ways I use to teach since I have verified the power of playing in learning.I grew up in Cuba where I got a bachelor's degree in French Language from the University of Havana with several trainings in France. In Las Vegas, Nevada, where I live, I got a master's degree in Early Childhood from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.I tutor Spanish, French (any level), and English Language Arts and Math (primary grades). Since my mother tongue is Spanish, I feel very comfortable working with; French is a personal passion; and I work every day teaching English and Math (K-2) in a school setting, after working online during the Covid pandemic.
