I like to think that everyone is their own, personal brand of genius. However, for those times when we struggle, there is no shame in asking for a little help. I graduated, cum laude, from Rowan University in 2013 with my BA in English. During this time, I served as a NJ certified substitute teacher. I explored varied career options: manuscript editing for SLACKinc medical publishers, freelance writing for Philadelphia's Headspace magazine, and tutoring privately in English composition. Teaching became a true passion of mine while I was becoming certified to teach English as a foreign language during several weeks in Cusco, Peru. After which, I came back to the States in pursuit of my Master's degree in subject matter education and my NJ standard teaching certificate. When I am not working towards this goal, I am painting, reading, or traveling. I spend much of my spare time on my yoga mat in order to stay in shape for summer hiking trails. I am an avid hiker and backpack traveler and believe in the value of a healthy body and mind. Yoga, in particular, has assisted me in pushing boundaries, cultivating a positive outlook, and maintaining a sense of self-discipline. These are values that would aid any student.

Students are unique individuals with diverse backgrounds and various learning styles. Curriculum should embrace such diversity by providing an array of presentation methods that encompass as many learning styles as feasibly possible. Students will rise to meet challenging expectations if practicality also is taken into consideration by the instructor. I aim to teach materials through multiple methods of presentation and to connect new materials to previous knowledge for concrete learning and a “bigger picture” view of materials’ relatedness across courses and disciplines. Additionally, I will provide students with a secure, caring, and stimulating learning environment, which will be student-centered. In such environment, I will facilitate study skill development, critical thinking, and problem solving through discussions, lectures, and hands-on experiences that encourage students to reason using previous and newly gained knowledge related to courses. I believe students can and will succeed - in courses as well as life and career goals - with dedication, determination, and proper guidance along the path they seek.

I am a graduate of Pepperdine University. I have a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a minor in computer science. I really enjoy teaching because I love sharing my knowledge with others and also I enjoy the bonding that a tutor can have with their student. I can always help you with your French and mathematics. French is one of my native languages and I speak and write very fluent french. I love experiential learning, so I would say that this is my favorite part of teaching and I also love sports, yoga andreading a lot! I am currently a senior at Villanova University studying electrical engineering. Throughout high school I tutored a number of kids in my hometown, mainly in math. However, I am also able to tutor Spanish, writing, and physics. I think that keeping the student constantly engaged and involved is essential to his or her learning the material well. Actively working through the material and doing practice problems is just as important as understanding the theory behind the subject matter. This is the basis for my tutoring techniques.

In 2020, I moved to Florida and I got my real estate license. I love to teach others and help them succeed in school. My favorite subjects are pharmacology, biology and pathophysiology.

I am a senior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Devices and a Bachelor of Science in Music. I have tutored students from the elementary school level to my current peer group. I have experience tutoring through MIT's Seminar XL and Tutorial Services Room programs in core subjects required for graduation (general chemistry, physics, calculus, multivariable calculus, and biology). I have also tutored students in SAT exam preparation for the past three years. Knowledge is an equalizer, and I firmly believe in paying my knowledge forward. I tutor a wide range of subjects, but my main passions are physics and math. I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful physics professor who turned physics into a way of viewing the world around me with a renewed sense of curiosity. I enjoy being able to spark this love of physics in my students, and as a consequence also sparking a love in mathematics, a necessary companion to physics.
