Currently pursuing a B.S. in Physics at Georgia Tech, I have worked as a private tutor for a range of subjects including physics, math, and introductory computer science. I am fluent in French and am open to working with students of all ages. I am flexible in my approaches in teaching and place a large emphasis on adapting my tutoring style to the student in order to embrace every unique learning style. My journey from math-fearing middle schooler to calculus lover and physics major has taught me that all it takes is the right approach to learn a subject that is difficult, and I want to help others reach their full potential in subjects they are hesitant about!

I completed my high school education at Walter Payton College Prep and just finished freshman year at Harvard. I have always had a passion for both learning and working with others. I have never been afraid of asking others for help on homework or classwork and have been eager to help classmates seeking help.I first got exposure to tutoring as a volunteer in the LIT program, a program designed to help under-privileged kids catch up in reading and writing. On top of being a part-time tutor, I have experience helping kids working as a camp counselor at Fred's Camp and Camp Chicago as well as taking on babysitting jobs around my neighborhood. In my experience as a tutor, the most important thing I realized was that there isn't a cookie cutter way of teaching any subject to any student. Each student is different, and I pay attention to their learning style and adjust accordingly. I strive to not only make sure students can solve each problem but that they thoroughly comprehend the concept as well. After finding the weak points in their understanding, I introduce problems and ask questions that specifically target those areas.I look forward to meeting you and working with you to reach your academic goals!

I am a graduate of Fordham University where I earned a Bachelor's degree with a major in History. In particular, I focused my energies on the study of American History. I have tutored as a part of the National Honor Society on topics such as AP Literature, AP American History, AP American Government, and the SAT. I am incredibly passionate about History and Literature and could easily discuss these topics for hours on end. I truly believe that history is fascinating, interesting, and wholly deserving of our attention. I hope I can share this passion and create tutoring sessions that are as engaging as they are informative. With my free time I enjoy reading, especially science fiction, and also exercise regularly, but admit a certain weakness for video games and good TV.

I am a Brown University senior graduating this May with a bachelors of science in neuroscience. For the past year and a half I have spent numerous hours as a volunteer for Let's Get Ready, a SAT and college prep program. I began my involvement in this organization purely on a whim, in order to give back to the community around me. I quickly discovered my passion for teaching, however, and began serving as the head math coach within a few short months. Teaching has allowed me to take part in the development of future intellects. To this purpose, I teach only mathematics and science, as those are my personal favorite subjects. I also focus on improving one's ability to think through a problem, as opposed to learning simply by base memorization. I do this because when a student's focus is solely on memorization, they often quickly forget the material due to time or stress. However, the skills one gains from learning how to think through problems are much more stable and flexible. This flexibility allows for those skills to be used in multiple subjects, and towards more advanced learning. Now, a little about me. In the future, I plan to go to medical school and become a general surgeon, due to the growing need in our current healthcare system. I enjoy drawing, salsa dancing, and bachata dancing. I'm also the self-proclaimed FIFA king of my university, and will defend my title at any non-working moment. All being said, I hope to see you in my classroom as we work together towards & beyond your goals.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University as a Health Sciences major. While at ASU I had the opportunity to work at the Downtown Student Success Center for two years as a supplemental instructor. Most of my students were pre-med or studying to become nurses. My favorite subject to teach was Anatomy/Physiology, but I also enjoyed most math and sciences courses especially General and Organic Chemistry. In my spare time, I enjoy competing in all types of sports, reading a good book and taking a ride on my motorcycle.

I will help you reach your math goals! I am a former Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry teacher. I also have experience tutoring middle school and elementary school students. I earned my undergraduate degree in Economics from Brown University, and my Masters in Education from Loyola Marymount University. I currently work as the Associate Director of Programs for a non profit organization that puts student centered curriculums in schools and after school programs. I seek every opportunity to help students succeed and feel good about their academic experiences. As a tutor, I believe in learning about my student and his or her needs first, listening to my students goals, setting collective goals, and emphasizing growth (growth WILL HAPPEN!). I stay patient and provide specific steps for concepts. I am clear in my responses, I ask questions, I check for understanding, and I remain encouraging!

I am a current student at Georgia Tech. My major is Computer Science. As a second year in college, I have confidence in better connecting with young students. My teaching philosophy is "slowly but surely." I am very patient and do not want to pressure students to move at a fast pace. Whatever pace the student may wish to take, I will follow it and do my best for the student to understand the content.
