The student just needed one more session of review on SAT math prep. We focused mostly on the more difficult material in her practice book as she seemed to do well on the easier to medium difficulty problems. I gave her a couple tips on test taking strategies, how to spot patterns in sequences, and how to approach geometry problems. She had trouble with a good few of the problems we attempted, but again these were the most difficult ones we had available. Hopefully my encouraging her to practice a bit more stuck, and if so that along with the few tips I provided should help get her an exceptional score.

We spend a short time covering his macroeconomics homework. Then we spend about an hour working through the first half of an English section, simultaneously reviewing strategies and testing skills. We finished off the session by working through a few math problems that he missed on a practice test.

This time we used two practice tests from the previous years. We worked through both of them and corrected them as we went. We also started another vocabulary sheet connected to many of the questions that the student wanted to focus on. Overall it was a very good session.
