Currently I am a graduate student in Stanford University's Master's Program for Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling. Prior to my enrollment at Stanford, I worked as a Genetic Counseling Assistant for Igenomix, a genetic testing laboratory. I graduated from Cornell University in December of 2021 with a BS in Biological Sciences and a minor in Education. As a student, I was a member of a research lab that works with the genetic basis of epilepsy in fruit flies as well as an undergraduate TA for a genetics laboratory course at Cornell. While I tutor a range of subjects, I am most passionate about tutoring biology and genetics, as that is where most of my expertise lies. I have enjoyed tutoring SAT and ACT math and science sections in the past and have found students have great success on these stressful tests after seeking out help from tutors like me. The pinnacle of my experience would be my senior year when I was teaching English, Science and Math in Spanish at my High School as an English Language Learner (ELL) instructor. I recently graduated from high school with an advanced diploma in Math and Science, achieving a 95+ score in all regents tests. I have tutored students at my temple and at my high school. Even though I have tutored many subjects, my expertise is in highschool math and science classes. I also teach chess, having a 1200+ rapid rating. I greatly believe in teaching with fun and passion and I try my best to make the learning process for my student as fun as possible. I have a BA in Political Science from New College of Florida and a MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. While I'm a photographer by trade, I also have a passion for and expertise in Math and the Natural Sciences -- as well as French and Spanish, having studied and worked in both Paris and Central America. While I'm proficient now, I struggled with both languages early on, and understand the challenges of both starting a new language and in moving from a conversational to a more proficient level. I'm also available for ACT and SAT test prep -- and work especially well with students who are visual learners (though I have a wide range of materials and resources for all styles of learning!).

I will be majoring in Biology. To work towards my goal of becoming an Interventional Cardiologist, I am currently conducting research in Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital, where I also volunteer every year. I tutor in ACT subjects, SAT subjects, AP subjects, Biology, Spanish, and much more! I have successfully obtained my New York State Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, one of the subjects I'm most passionate about. Being an AP Scholar with Distinction and a recipient of the AP Capstone Diploma has allowed me to tutor an academically diverse array of students. I have tutored previously through afterschool homework help programs at my high school, as well as through Math, Science, and National Honor Society opportunities. However, having been a Children's Museum volunteer and a baseball coach, I enjoy watching young kids and teens improve in not just school, but in many aspects of life.
