As an audiologist with a Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, I am dedicated to helping students understand complex scientific concepts, particularly for the audiology praxis, biochemistry, and college biology. My best teachers always taught me to focus on solidifying the big picture (high yield) concepts first and add in smaller (low yield) details afterwards. This practice of breaking down complex ideas into fundamental first principles made me understand just how powerful knowledge could be and how it could be used to solve the world's hardest problems. This made even the smallest and most tedious of details easy to learn. I applied these same concepts to my students with tremendous success.
