I am a current student at the University of Vermont Honors College. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Biology with a minor in Emergency Medical Studies on the pre-med track. While I have tutored a broad range of subjects in the past, I am most passionate about Mathematics. I love working with students of all ages, and I will adapt my teaching style accordingly. I am very approachable and flexible, and promise to accommodate my teaching to each and every student's needs. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life. I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my free time, I enjoy playing various sports, specifically soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse. I also love to spend time with my family and friends whenever possible.

I also have an Associates in Paralegal Studies, and Bachelors in Behavioral Science, and another Masters in Sports Exercise Psychology. Since graduation, I have been a entrepreneur and coach for single moms and their children on how to reset their lives after the incarceration of a loved one. With my guidance, moms discover how to bury the "prison wifey" stigma as they create a fulfilling life for themselves and their children. I have tutored both children and adults one to one that were seeking extra help in Math, English, Science, Social Studies, etc. and Special Education. As I am a certified Life and Transitional Coach that has experience in working in group home settings, court facilitated settings, schools, and private home based. I am most passionate with Special Education and the flexibility of being able to not only teach and mentor and advocate but to help a student grow. I believe that anybody can learn as long as it is fun and exciting and stretches them beyond their comfort zone. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, educating my children and traveling and mentoring and coaching in the realm of life skill, mindset, finances, emotional trauma, etc.

I am a recent graduate from Princeton University interested in using my diverse skills set to tutor middle and high school students. I have studied in both public and private institutions in New York state and I am familiar with Regents, AP, SAT and IB exams.

I've been lucky to have attended some fine educational institutions, though I don't come from the kind of background where such opportunities can be taken for granted. I believe every student should have the same opportunities as I've had, and I want to do everything I can to make those opportunities available to every student.

I have eight years experience teaching French in public high school and middle school environments. I have worked with beginners and intermediate students, as well as students in advanced levels of French.I enjoy tutoring one-on-one, because I am able to focus solely on the needs of one individual. As a school teacher, I have been amazed at how effective one or two private extra help sessions can be for the student who has been struggling in the larger class environment. I believe that I explain language concepts clearly and in a way that students of all skill levels can understand.My students have told me over the years that I am a patient and encouraging teacher and that I make learning French fun. I love helping students realize that they CAN in fact learn French, even if they thought they couldn't! One of my 9th grade students once wrote the following to me: "You are one of the most positive people I have ever met, and you taught me never to give up. You always have a HUGE smile on your face, and that is why I look up to you and why you are one of my role models."

I have years of experience tutoring and teaching math, English, physics, and other subjects to students from elementary school to seniors in high school. I like to relate problems to the real world and provide students with a foundation to figure things out for themselves without giving them answers.This may all sound pretty bland, but I have a variety of hobbies and I like making learning more exciting than students may think. I'm a big skier and my other hobbies include a variety of sports, weightlifting, and playing instruments.

I helped them write their college essays, practice basic collegiate level math, and think critically to analyze literary texts. In my free time, I enjoy both reading and writing fiction, cooking, and all things related to theatre.
