I find great satisfaction in helping students reach their goals and feel successful. Learning to effectively reason, problem solve, and communicate positions students to be effective in school and face the challenges of the real world.

I attended public schools in Newton, Massachusetts and continued my education at the University of Massachusetts where I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude. I also earned a certification as a coach from Robbins Mandanes. Concentrating in psychology and coaching enables me to understand the individualized needs of my students and meet those needs. I have applied this skill as a professional equestrian, having spent years teaching students of all ages to work with and ride horses.

In approaching a teaching assignment, I first identify my student's interest to establish common ground. Starting with a topic that engages a student, at a level that inspires confidence, is the building block for progress. Once the student is interested and comfortable, I proceed to progressively more challenging assignments using the same approach. This process permits the student to achieve goals that might have seemed impossible at the outset.
