I am currently a fourth-year medical student doing rotations at a number of different specialties within medicine. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time while in medical school and during my undergraduate degree. While in medical school and during my undergraduate studies I have worked as a teaching fellow and a tutor. This has given me many different experiences with students from a variety of backgrounds and knowledge levels. I have always been interested in the sciences: biology, physiology, anatomy, and many other subjects. My main motivation to go into medicine is to be able to help people to learn how to live their healthiest lives and I believe that a great way to do that is through teaching them what they need to do to improve and maintain their health. I'm currently a sophomore studying Writing & Rhetoric and Political at the University of Utah. I also have minors in Peace & Conflict Studies, Campaign Management, and Philosophy. I've worked as a writing tutor for one year now, in addition to directing the Sustainability Board for the Resident Hall Associate and completing a technical writing internship.In my free time I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, and reading. I'm very passionate about politics, and have volunteered for several campaigns. After graduation I plan on attending law school, where I eventually plan on running for public office.

I am a Senior at Fordham University, where I am double majoring in Humanitarian Studies and Communications and Culture. My academic undergrad research is focused on fan fiction and participatory culture. I have worked in communications with INEE, immigration casework at the Office of U.S. Senator Gillibrand, refugee resettlement with Catholic Charities, procurement with URENCO USA, and as a children's librarian assistant. This fall, I will be attending law school, with the intent of pursuing a career in immigration public policy after graduation.I believe that tutoring should be a form of empowerment for the student, giving them agency and a way to push their growing edge. Everyone has their own knowledge expertise, and tutoring is a platform for each party to learn from the other.
