I love teaching. Watching someone understand a concept I explain to them is exciting and rewarding. Learning is fun to see and does not have to be hard with the right help!

I am a graduate of Shawnee High School and am a current freshman at the University of the Sciences. I'm majoring in Neuroscience on the premedical track with a minor in Biochemistry. I have been tutoring for 4 years in English, math, science, and Latin. I am able to tutor any course in those subject areas from grades 6-12. I am a huge believer in differential learning and believe every student learns a different way. I will strive hard to discover a learning style that will ensure continuing success and development in and out of the classroom. I'm completely invested in seeing each student I tutor grow and become successful students and will not settle for any less. I have also been a choreographer for 5 years and a swim teacher for 1 year, both jobs of which I work with children in 3rd-12th grade. In other words, I believe I truly understand the vast majority of learning styles. In addition, I have also worked with special needs kids extensively and would be ecstatic to continue working with them.

I am a chemist, graduated from the University of the Sciences - USci - in 2011, currently working at a gas analyzer manufacturer. Born and raised in Vietnam, I came to the U.S. in 2004 and completed my high school and college degrees here. I have experience tutoring and instructing chemistry laboratory to undergraduate students during my years at USci. I am currently tutoring several high school students in various subjects, and science is always my strong area.Being grateful to my parents for their continuous support for my education, I believe that education is the only way to advance in life. Education does not only include the accumulation of knowledge but also the application of what you have learned and the attitude associated with your application. Everything has to come in a package.I enjoy tutoring, particularly tutoring teenagers. When I was 12 or so, I had a tutor, or exactly, a mentor. She not only tutored me but also inspired me to grow to be a useful person in life. I am thankful to have had my tutor-mentor-best friend with me through my rebellious years. Therefore, now, I would love to guide students to go through their period of try-to-find-my-way and also inspire them to reach higher education and become useful members in the society.

I am currently a junior in the University of the Sciences pursing a degree in humanities and science. I am also interested in the dynamcs of healthcare and hope to obtain a masters in health policy. I love teaching subjects in the humanities such as reading, writing and history but equally love the sciences as well. My tutoring style is hands on and I like to engage the student in their learning process. I not only want students to succeed but I want them to love the art of learning.

I just recently graduated The University of the Sciences. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Mathematics in the spring of 2018. While at the University of the Sciences I was a peer tutor for Calculus I and II, and I was a teaching assistant for General Chemistry, Microbiology, and Genetics. This Fall I will be pursuing my masters degree at Temple University in Actuarial Science. I tutor a broad range of subject areas mostly in the math and sciences. I believe that relating the material back to concepts that are relevant to our daily lives is the best way to learn. I have had extensive tutoring experience in the areas of calculus, statistics, SAT, ACT and SAT subject tests in chemistry, mathematics and literature, GRE quantitative and the MCAT. And my mantra is practice practice practice! The more problems that we do together the more success you will encounter. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, biking, trying foods from different cuisines and of course, watching Netflix.

I believe that incorporating and structuring the learning environment around the learning style of the student is the best way to promote optimal conditions of learning and studying. In my spare time, I love to hike with my husband and dog, play volleyball, read, and shop!
