I am a Georgia native who recently relocated to Colorado. Previously I lived in New Haven, CT, where I worked with young adults who had just finished undergrad. I served as a mentor, helping each one make a decision about the future. I also worked with them on admissions essays and finding their voice.

I am an Early Childhood and Special Education certified educator with ten years of experience in both elementary and post-secondary education. My experience is diversified. I have worked both in urban and suburban settings, public and charter schools, and with students ranging in ability from gifted to special needs. I am committed to maintaining a thorough knowledge of instructional standards, practices, and methodologies for the education of children.

I am an AANP certified FNP. I graduated from the University of North Georgia in 2013. I practice in the outpatient primary care setting. Prior to becoming an NP I worked for 10 years as an RN in various hospital settings. My teaching experience includes teaching CNAs as an adjunct professor and tutoring kids with difficulty reading. I spend a great deal of my clinical time with patients educating them. I have also been a preceptor for RN and NP students.

I am a 60 year old widow who did not begin my teaching career until I was 41 years old. Before that, I was married and in Atlanta as a professional stage actor with big plans for an even larger career. I was perfectly content living with my husband and acting, when he got a job with Coretta Scott King, Martin Luther King Jr.'s widow.

I am best at tutoring English and Reading grades 1 - 9, and Math grades 1 - 5. My favorite subjects to tutor are reading and writing because I enjoy reading and writing, but I also like elementary math.
