My name is Jared and recently graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and am continuing my medical training at Norton Hospital as a Foot and Ankle Surgical resident.I have a true desire to help young students overcome obstacles, attain specific goals, and reach their maximum potential. I have a personal interest in teaching because I spent the last 9 years of my life undergoing rigorous secondary education at three of the finest colleges and universities in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, it was not always easy. During my education there was a lot of trial and error and a number of failed study techniques. I plan on using my personal experience that I gained during my time as a student to help each individual student.I believe in a three tier teaching system that allowed me to excel and achieve a class ranking of #3 in medical school.1. Understanding the actual material that you are studying. If you don't understand what you are studying, it makes studying and memorizing the material astronomically more difficult.2. Figuring out a method that allows you to understand the material efficiently for YOU. This is probably the biggest thing that is overlooked in education. In my undergraduate studies I studied the way I saw everyone else around me studying, reading from their notes. This did not work for me. It wasn't until I started trying specific things like utilizing online notecards, and rewriting my notes on a chalkboard from memory that I started seeing success reflected in my grades.3. Find something that motivates you, and use it every single day. Studying is not fun, plain and simple. But, unfortunately it is a means to an end. Grades and extracurricular activities are the only thing a young student is judged by, and the better grades one achieves the more doors that are opened. If you can find something that motivates you, whether it be a nice house, car, lifestyle, security, ability to travel, power, tell yourself that achieving a good grade on this test, in this class will help me achieve my ultimate goal.I have no formal background in education, but I have tutored numerous students in multiple subjects using this system and each and everyone of them has found success. I have a true passion for teaching and would love to help anyone and everyone.
