Hello, my name is Abiagael Parks. I am 22 years old and I recently graduated from Virginia Tech with my Bachelor's of Science in Physics. I am currently pursuing my Master's of Science and PhD in Physics at Illinois Institute of Technology with an emphasis in Optics and Astro- particle physics. I have 7 years of experience tutoring all ages of science and math. I hope to become a Professor someday, therefore I welcome any opportunity to teach, tutor, and work with students of all ages! I have 6 years of experience as a Summer Camp counselor and Outreach Coordinator for my Undergraduate Physics club, in these roles I developed physics enrichment curriculum focused on teaching elementary and middle school aged students the exciting parts of physics, and spark a love of learning regarding the subject. I am particularly experienced with young girls in STEM as I volunteer to talk to middle and high school aged girls about pursuing roles in STEM. I advise them on college applications, college life as a STEM student, and teach them important math, science, and coding skills to help the as they mature in their respective fields.

I obtained my B.S. in Professional Aeronautics with a business minor from ERAU, while working multiple jobs and starting a family. As I continued my academic and professional journey as a leader in the aviation industry, I fell in love with leadership philosophies and earned a Master's in Leadership Development from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, the same college where I am now a professor. At "The Woods", I teach my passions, such as leadership, moral philosophy (ethics), not-for-profit strategy, and many more subjects. I mentor graduate students throughout their coursework and final theses.As I grew older, I began to model my continuing education efforts toward my interests and passions, such as psychology, and less to just support a business career. This led me to a Ph.D. in I/O Psychology at NCU, where I am currently a Ph.D. candidate preparing for my final dissertation defense titled "A Case Study about DACA, Psychological Health and Subjective Well-being in the current U.S. Socio-Political Climate."All of this, all of my hard work, has led me to you. I love to teach, mentor, and tutor students. Your success is my success. I feel that my purpose on this earth is to share knowledge and help others, just like you, become the best human being possible.

Hello, My name is Carlos! I'm currently an aerospace engineering student who is motivated to teach math and science to younger generations. I enjoy solving problems because I've learned that any complex problem is many simple parts put to together. In my free time, I play video games, workout, hang with friends, and build RC cars, planes, and boats.

I'm not tutoring or buried in my textbooks, you will either find me rock climbing at the Triangle Rock Club, playing Ultimate Frisbee, working on my car, or enjoying the great outdoors (beaches, mountains, forests--you name it, I love it). I am an interdisciplinary educator with an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. My background is primarily in integrated arts learning and museum education and I specialize in visual arts, history and art history, and object-based learning. I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well. My primary areas of tutoring are math and statistics coursework in addition to math sections on standardized tests such as the GRE and GMAT. I am very passionate about helping students feel more confident and excited about math. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.

With eight years of experience working in education, I've tutored students in math, science, history, and English, as well as helped students prepare for standardized tests. I am a rising sophomore at Harvard College and am about to declare as a Mechanical Engineering concentrator, working towards a Bachelor of Science degree. I've always enjoyed sharing my knowledge with my peers and those around me and have done so in both formal and informal settings. I've been a tutor for both Math and Spanish programs in high school and enjoyed the strides I made with students. I am willing to tutor any subject I have a background in, but am strong in mathematics, the sciences, Spanish, history, writing, and ACT prep. I enjoy teaching mathematics most due to the joy I can see in children once they master a topic and can answer even pointed questions meant to stump them, and maybe even put their knowledge to real world use. As a tutor, I like to give a strong foundation to orient my student, and then gradually grant them more freedom and independence until they can feel themselves grasp the concept, pointing out pitfalls or common errors along the way; teachers who used these methods on me always left the most lasting impressions. Outside of my studies, I really enjoy listening to music, both old favorites and new interests, reading classics, and gaming/playing basketball with my friends.
