I am an incoming business school student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where I will be starting next fall. I received my bachelors degree in economics at Yale University, where I also worked as an editor to the Yale Daily News.

I am also a certified secondary English teacher in Florida through the online TeacherReady program. I have 5 years experience teaching ESL, entry exams (including GMAT and ACT), and humanities (history, philosophy, literature, and creative writing) at the high-school and college levels. I am an avid test-taker and find test prep to be fascinating and - yes - fun! I've taken the LSAT and GRE; my scores were good enough to get into some pretty great schools, along with some scholarship money. I believe everyone is capable of achieving their academic goals! In my free time, I love to rock climb, and I sing with a choir. I'm also a big travel buff.

I am currently in my fourth year of school, and will be applying tointernal medicine residency programs in the fall. I find the most effective learning strategy is to understand the underlying concepts behind a subject, which facilitates the application of this knowledge to a wide range of novel problems in a testing environment. Additionally, by helping a student find a personal connection to the material, I can foster a passion for the subject that motivates independent learning.

I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and University of Illinois at Chicago. I received my Doctor of Pharmacy and also Master of Public Health. Additionally, I completed my residency training at Midwestern University. I am board certified in pharmacotherapy (BCPS).

I'm planning on applying to PHD programs in media studies soon. I have been in love with learning all my life, and I hope to be a professor one day.
