I am currently completing a bachelor's of science in neuroscience at the University of Southern California. I will graduate from USC with honors in May, and although I am originally from the Midwest, I plan to stay in the Los Angeles area. My course background includes a full load of college-level premed courses (three years of biology, a full year of organic chemistry, biochemistry, etc.), and my favorite subjects are math, physiology, and writing.

I am a graduate of Pomona College, where I majored in Neuroscience. I am preparing to apply to medical school and hope to continue working with kids as a pediatrician.

I'm a writer and filmmaker by trade. I've been teaching and writing for over twenty years, have a variety of academic and non-academic interests including films, books, sports, music, travel, languages, art, theatre and many more. To be honest, I'm pretty much interested in everything in one way or another, whether it be academic or pop culture related. I speak three languages, have traveled extensively and come from a very academically oriented family.

I am available to work up to thirty hours per week. Friday through Sunday I would generally be free to tutor at any time; on Mondays, I am available during the day, and on Wednesdays, I am available from mid-afternoon (starting around three) through the evening. I am usually not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I would not need to take any month off.

I am a passionate and creative individual who loves to face challenges head on. I am a published author and award-winning playwright. I graduated UCLA with an MFA in playwriting. Composition and literature are two things that make me incredibly happy. I love the art of education as being something that can not only be a creative endeavor, but I also feel that my passion for education is contagious, and it will be as much fun to learn as it will be for me to instruct.

I'm a PhD student in Psychology at Fordham University. My areas of expertise are Psychology, Mental Health, Research, and Writing. I have a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, a bachelor's degree in Finance from Penn State University, and experience working on Wall Street (investment management) as well as teaching English. As a tutor I hope to make learning fun and interesting, and build my students' skills and confidence.

I am a credentialed teacher with ten years of experience. I have an M.A. in Teaching from USC (Multiple Subject/K-6) and a B.A. in Music from Pomona College.
