I am a retired high school Math Teacher and Principal with over 35 years experience working with students. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from the University of Mary Washington and a Masters of Science in Computer Science from Hood College. I also hold certifications for Math 8-12, Computer Science, and Secondary Administration I and II.I have been tutoring all manner of math, computer science, and test prep related courses online since 2015. For the past 4 years my focus has been almost exclusively on tutoring calculus (AP Calc AB, AP Calc BC , College Calc 1, College Calc 2). These are my favorite courses to tutor as I taught the AP program for nearly 20 years before becoming a high school administrator.My methodology is teaching students to think and to diagnose problems, thus helping them to develop strong habits of mind and self-confidence in problem solving. I ask as many, if not more, questions than I answer. I can quickly determine a student's weaknesses and prescribe a learning plan to address them. My goal is to make my presence redundant as the student builds a tool box of mathematical reasoning and processing skills that will allow them an increased sense of independence.Outside of teaching, my interests are centered on the Philadelphia sports teams (Fly Eagles Fly!!), Ford Mustangs and video games (Madden, Golf, third person adventures).

In this role, he does legal research and writing such as drafting court decisions.Prior to Clerking, Leo was an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx District Attorney's Office where he handled hundreds of criminal prosecutions from beginning to end including attempted murder cases.A graduate of George Washington Law School, Leo was part of the Criminal Appeals Clinic where he drafted and argued an appeal before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Additionally, he clerked for the District of Columbia United States Attorney's Office Cyber Crime Section where he worked on issues involving electronic, computer, and internet-related evidence and legal processes; and worked closely with the Department of Justice's Office of International Affairs ("OIA") on an initiative to expedite the processing of Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty ("MLAT") requests from foreign countries that seek electronic evidence in the United States in support of foreign criminal investigations and proceedings.Leo is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and the State of New York. Leo was born in Honduras and Spanish is his first language. He is also a tutor for the bar exam.

Many people ask, Why do you teach? My immediate response is I dedicate myself in driving ones desire and eagerness to learn mathematics, as well as, instilling the critical value of an ownership of learning. After instruction, I find these values very self-evident in my students, whether they are studying early arithmetic or advanced differential equations.

I love helping others with processes I've found difficult at times myself. Having struggled with incompatible teaching methods, I know they can make all the difference in how successful a student is at a given assignment or in a class overall.

I am a graduate of National University receiving a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with an emphasis in English Language and Literature and Teaching. I have worked in the classroom teaching Composition, Writing , and Research, and have tutored students in a variety of subjects at two different community colleges. In addition, I am a licensed massage therapist and understand the what is needed to pass the MBLEx.I love working with students and helping them to understand concepts and reinforce skills learned in their class. However, I also love helping students prep for SAT, GED, MBLEx, and other standardized test and even give proven ways to relieve test anxiety.My goals when working with a student is to help them feel comfortable with whatever they are trying to achieve. I hope to help them know they have what it takes to reach their goals and even exceed them on their way to a successful future.

I am a recent graduate from Bucknell University as a physics major. I have spent the past 4 years teaching and mentoring other students as either a tutor or a teacher's assistant, and I would love to continue to help students grow and learn.

I have tutored in entry level financial/managerial accounting subjects (Accounting 100 and 101) as a paid position in my alma matter, Prince Georges Community College (PGCC), where I received an associate degree in accounting. Through my early education years, I have also patiently taught algebra to fellow classmates who found it difficult to understand the concepts. In my experience, helping students prepare for exams has been a blessing because when the goal is achieved, we see progress in their lives.I have a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park. I also have a Masters of Science (MS) in accounting with a focus on Internal Auditing. Since my graduation, I have worked extensively in the field of accounting mostly in the federal government financial management space where accounting principles are applied based on government laws, regulations and requirements.In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and being a source of help to others. Currently purifying proteins at the National Cancer Institute. Attended Trinity College '19 and majored in Biology (and Philosophy). Advanced Orgo was an elective I took...still contemplating why I did that.I enjoyed coupling my studies as a Teaching Assistant in order (1) cement the material into my knowledge and (2) help fellow classmate take on challenging concepts in biology and chemistry. I was a TA for intro biology course, biochemistry, cell biology, general chemistry and organic chemistry.
