How can Economics tutoring help you?

A background in economics may be applied to anyone's life. Though some people are affected more than others, economic fluctuations affect everyone. Economics explains money and trade between markets. It is what explains the role of government in a market's failure, and how scarcity raises prices. Because the range of topics is so diverse, it is often difficult to see the relationship between the interworking parts. An excellent way to improve your understanding is with the help of a professional economics tutor. At Varsity Tutors, we may help you find an independent economics tutor in Kansas City, MO, to improve your understanding and help you rise to the top of the class.

When you call our educational directors in Kansas City, we may consider everything that may affect a tutor-student relationship in order to pick the perfect economics tutor for you. Common questions asked may include, "Do you learn best through tactile or auditory aids?" or, "What part of economics do you find the most challenging?" We may also ask if you have any special concerns, to ensure that we select the best tutor for you.

Economics Tutoring review by Neicea in Kansas City, MO
During our session on 7/31 at 1:30pm, the student and I reviewed more of last session's material in order to better understand chapters 13-19. This included heavy emphasis on: the long-run and short-run Phillips curves as related to unemployment (U3) and inflation rate, AS/AD mode (aggregate supply/aggregate demand model as related to real GDP), price level, long-run aggregate supply (LRAS), short-run aggregate supply (SRAS), and aggregate demand (AD). We also discussed the aggregate expenditure relating real GDP to price level of aggregate planned expenditures, etc. This was his last day of class. Congrats to him on much-improved performance in the course. Congratulations, Brent!

This was our first session. We went over the syllabus and what she wants to do in the next few weeks before her midterm. We then moved through some homework problem sets that she had due in class and reviewed some basic microeconomic principles that she will need going forward. Again, she is excited to get started and it will be nice to work with an eager student.

Economics Tutoring review by Hillary in Kansas City, MO
We went through his homework for economics and he asked a few questions which we discussed. He seemed to have an overall good understanding of that material. We then looked at his first midterm and where he missed points. In most cases we were able to see where the points were lost and discussed corrections. We talked about test-taking strategies because time was an issue on this past test.

Economics Tutoring review by Thomas in Kansas City, MO
We reviewed last session's basic concepts of the economy, GDP, stock market, interest rates, and corporate concepts. He understood most of the introduction from the previous session, so he really understood the concepts. There were no scores to go on, but we did go over some questions and the student got most of the questions right. He understood the questions he missed, and his progress is very good. I gave him a practice assignment for our upcoming writing tutor session on Sunday, as he will finish his paper that is due Tuesday and I want him to do another paper on Rugby, which he plays, to see how he writes another paper.
