I am a graduate of Northeastern University. I received my Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing and minored in Psychology. Ever since I was a kid, I have traveled extensively due to my father's job. We would move every two years- it was a very exciting but challenging journey. I was born in Argentina then moved to California, Switzerland, Guatemala, New York, Spain, and then Massachusetts. I was lucky enough to attend great schools in these countries and cities, learn from incredible teachers, and get exposed to different languages. I loved school and that became a love for teaching. I have tutored many kids around the world in Spanish, English, and French. I am most passionate about English, especially Writing, ESL, and preparing kids for exams like TOEFL. As someone who was born in a Spanish speaking country and learned languages early on in my life, I have a very deep understanding on how to approach these subjects. I value education and I love children! I have three younger siblings myself, so teaching them has been a constant hobby of mine! I love the feeling of seeing children grow academically. I spent several years working in various scientific research laboratories throughout University, and worked hard to ultimately publish my work in the Journal of Mammalogy in 2013. I began my teaching career upon entering Graduate school. I first taught biology laboratories at the University of Connecticut, and then went on to teach 6th and 7th grade Science in Hartford, CT one year later. I have recently moved to Sturbridge, MA, where I was hired as a tutor at The Grow School, and have now moved into a permanent substitute teacher position. I also, temporarily, spent two months teaching full-time in a third grade classroom. I am very knowledgeable and passionate about so many of the science fields, but also about teaching and learning. I have found teaching to be immensely rewarding, and I am confident I could help a person of any age to reach their true academic potential. I have been informally tutoring my classmates in French since I began studying the language, about six years ago. I would help them understand grammar and pronunciation mainly in the beginning stages of learning the language. I was hired last year as the French tutor at my college and I have experience tutoring students in beginning and intermediate level French. I am very comfortable with the language and my experience has shown me what does and what does not work when tutoring a student. I recently had the privilege of taking two years of cultural immersion courses at the Alliance Franaise de Chicago, and I have been to France multiple times, so I am very familiar with French and Francophone culture. I sometimes like to explore current events in the French world if I am having a conversation with a student. I can teach lessons around French and francophone film, literature, and music. In Mandarin, I have experience speaking with friends and acquaintances completely in Mandarin. Living in Chicago has given me access to Chinatown, a wonderful neighborhood overflowing with rich Chinese culture that I have been exposed to since birth.Currently I am a sophomore at Beloit College, majoring in International Relations and French, and minoring in Mandarin Chinese. I am working towards an undergraduate degree, which will be followed by a graduate degree. I am anticipating studying abroad in the future in both China and France in an effort to use those languages to study International Relations. Outside of school, my favorite thing to do is travel. There is no better way to understand another culture than to visit it. I also like to cook, take pictures, and explore Chicago.

During my free time, I love to play sports, especially basketball. I also like to sing, play the piano and read mystery novels. As an undergraduate, I tutored first-year engineering students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics. Of these subjects, Chemistry and Math were especially exciting to teach.
