About Me

I have been a high school teacher for seven years, as a social studies teacher, a science teacher, and most of all a special education teacher. My passion is working with teenagers and college students, but I have also tutored elementary school students and worked in a kindergarten classroom. I have worked extensively with students who have Asperger Syndrome, Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cognitive Disabilities. Before I taught, I worked part-time at the Office of Undergraduate Admission @ Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). I am also a proud alumnus of NU, and enjoyed my time there tremendously. Over the past two years, I have worked with almost 30 high school students on the ACT in my own private practice. This is extremely rewarding for me as I am passionate about the college search process, and love helping students in their journey to find their dream school! My other interests include jet-setting all over the USA (NYC and Portland, OR are my two favorites), lifting weights, wasting away in coffee shops, following American politics, and going to concerts. I look forward to working with you and answering any other questions you may have!
