I have had a passion for tutoring from a young age and have tutored many middle and high school students in math and spanish helping them raise their grades at least one, if not two grade levels. I currently work for an educational non-profit organization whose mission is to provide tools for college access, acceptance, and persistence to students of the Houston community. I am very passionate about college access and have helped several students perfect their personal statements for admission to some of the nations top colleges. This fall, I will be pursuing my Ph.D in Sociology at UNC-Chapel Hill with a focus on educational systems.

My interests are in the performing arts: I love to sing and write. I also love doing research and reading.
