About Me

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in both Child Development and French from Tufts University. During my time at Tufts, I also taught in Boston-area preschools, supporting early literacy, numeracy, and social skill development through the Jumpstart program. After graduating, I stayed in Boston and tutored 9th-12th graders in a wide range of subjects while earning my teaching license. After that, I taught 3rd and 4th grade where my students earned best in state scores on their end of year state test. In fact, my students in my final year of teaching were ranked #1 and #2 in the state of Massachusetts on their Math and ELA state tests, respectively. In addition to teaching, I have spent the last 1.5 years working on ELA curriculum design and teacher development for a network of schools in NYC and CT. I am also currently pursuing Master's degrees in Children's Literature (M.A.) and Library and Information Science (M.S.). I love tutoring many subjects and students of all ages, but I am especially passionate about reading. Struggling or reluctant readers often see reading as a chore, so I believe it is imperative to develop a student's love for literacy at the same time as their skill, no matter what age they are. When I'm not working, you can find me pleasure reading (often via audiobook!), running, watching soccer and football, or cooking.
