I am an experienced tutor specializing in one-on-one SAT test prep. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, earning a bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology with College Honors, and I am currently working toward my PhD. I have been tutoring for six years, working for well-known test prep companies in addition to volunteering for nonprofit educational organizations around the world. I offer SAT test prep, AP test prep, and academic tutoring in English, History, and Social Studies. I also offer assistance with academic essays, college admissions essays, and college applications.

I am a current student at Yale University pursuing a degree in English. Since I was little, writing and storytelling has been one of my biggest passions. Though back then, I often told stories to my friends and family as though they were truth, once they helped me find the page I've had much, much more success. I have been tutoring kids since I was in high school, but I've also spent many hours working with kids on the baseball diamond as a coach, as well as as a camp counselor. My philosophy is that I know how hard and difficult (and sometimes annoying) high school English and History classes can be, and my goal is to try and bring a little fun back into the material while making sure we do what it takes to master your craft as a budding young writer, whether in a rhetorical analysis of Pride and Prejudice or in your CommonApp personal essay.

I am a student at Yale University and am pursuing a B.A. in Economics. I have experience tutoring various levels of math and am very passionate about furthering the understanding of students in this subject. I also have a lot of test taking strategies that I have implemented in my own academic life and the practical experience of successfully taking many standardized tests which makes me a great resource for the ACT and SAT.

I'm a start-up consultant. I've always enjoyed teaching, however, that's why I like tutoring. I've a teaching assistant many times over, both in undergrad and grad school. In high school, I was a honors student with membership in the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society and Math Honor Society. I was also a member of my school's Diversity Council and president of the medical club. Since I'm currently a chemistry major/premed student, I have lots of experience with STEM related courses (AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Calculus, AP Statistics). I've also taken both AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature. In addition to my AP course load in high school, I also studied for multiple SAT subject tests (Bio 790, Math 2 770, Chem 770) and the SAT (770M, 770ERW). Outside of academics, I did lots of volunteer work (founded nonprofit called Give It a Shot that raises money to provide pneumonia vaccines to daycare aged children in the Philippines, worked at local hospital, peer tutored at school) and played a sport (fencing) at a national level.
