I am a graduate of Cornell University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Health and Society. Since graduation, I have continued my education at Kean University. I plan to complete an informal postbach and apply directly to medical school. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology and Physics. I would best describe my tutoring style as very strategic and presenting the content as easy as possible to understand. In my spare time, I enjoy jogging, boxing and developing mobile games.

I am a sophomore at Emory University studying Economics and Global Health. I am a native of Edison, New Jersey and a graduate of John P. Stevens High School. Going through the college application process is nothing if not stressful, but after a few years of analyzing my mistakes and observing others, there are many things that I wish I had known earlier. I am here to provide assistance to high school students looking to excel and meet their goals. It is difficult to meet the expectations of top colleges and universities, but with me in your corner, I hope that burden gets a little lighter.
I am a student of the Stevens Institute of Technology and am currently pursuing my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering. As the oldest sibling in a family of 4 brothers and sisters, I know what it is like to have someone depend on me, and how to help them succeed. I have the ability and patience to teach those younger than me about topics I have mastered throughout my schooling. I love to talk and have a bad habit of making friends with everyone I meet! I love teaching and seeing my students improve over time, like watching my own children grow up. The subject I am most passionate about teaching is math, math, and math! Seeing different equations and variables click together to make a coherent, objective statement is always fun to see, and it is fun teaching my students how to understand this in the grand scheme of life. When I am not going crazy for equations, I am reading long fantasy novels, gaming, or improving my tennis play.
I am a very motivated individual that will ensure all my students succeed in their studies. I have a great teaching style that is unique to each student that I work with, and I work hard to make sure my students not only master the material they need to learn, but also understand how to study and prepare on their own.
I am passionate about education, learning, teaching, and specifically literatures and languages. I have experience as an ESL teacher for young children and teens, as well as experience working as a Writing Consultant at my undergraduate institution. I also spent all four years of my undergraduate career volunteering as an SAT tutor for local high schoolers. Beyond this, I have experience both as a private and public Spanish tutor. I love to help students reach their educational and personal goals in any way that I can.
I am confident I will be able to use my experience and current knowledge to raise your grades and scores.
I am available to tutor middle and high school math, history and test prep. I have tutored math and history in the past and I previously taught a test prep course at a school in Hanoi, Vietnam. I have a lot of experience teaching all the need-to-know tricks to doing great on the SATS/ACTS! When I am not in school myself, I love rowing, equestrian and exploring my new city of Boston! I look forward to meeting and working with you soon!
I am a freshman at Caltech majoring in Applied and Computational Mathematics. My favorite subject to tutor is math because I find it very rewarding to simplify complex topics to aid in understanding. I have lots of tutoring experience. In high school, I ran and taught an SAT prep class and was vice president of my school's NHS chapter where I ran our tutoring program, and I, myself, tutored. I also was a teaching assistant in the summer of 2020 for a class in discrete mathematics through a program called PACT (Program in Algorithmic and Combinatorial Thinking). I love learning and hope to make the process enjoyable for you!
I am currently a student at Stanford University studying math and political science. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with younger students. I have helped students of different ages and from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, and so I am very conscious of the needs and prior knowledge my students and tailor my tutoring method and style individually.
I am in New York City studying acting, and I want to bring the same energy, enthusiasm and compassion that is required on stage to my students. I have experience tutoring for the SATs, and I have had significant experience serving as a mentor to younger students, particularly in the university setting. I love coaching and helping students discover their intellectual passions. Most importantly, I am thrilled by the prospect of helping a student set concrete goals and progress towards actualizing them in an academic realm. But above all I want to work with students to help them develop strategies that are personally effective and furthermore that link their passions with their education.
I am a current student at Yale University pursuing a degree in English. Since I was little, writing and storytelling has been one of my biggest passions. Though back then, I often told stories to my friends and family as though they were truth, once they helped me find the page I've had much, much more success. I have been tutoring kids since I was in high school, but I've also spent many hours working with kids on the baseball diamond as a coach, as well as as a camp counselor. My philosophy is that I know how hard and difficult (and sometimes annoying) high school English and History classes can be, and my goal is to try and bring a little fun back into the material while making sure we do what it takes to master your craft as a budding young writer, whether in a rhetorical analysis of Pride and Prejudice or in your CommonApp personal essay.
I am currently an undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University working towards a degree in Biomedical Engineering. One of the most rewarding aspects tutoring is helping students arrive at that "Eureka" moment when the concept or idea they have been trying to understand suddenly clicks. I hope to be a mentor to students as I draw from my own experiences, having been in the same shoes not long ago. I enjoy tutoring all subjects, particularly math, physics, and biology.

Elizabeth's average student-teacher ratio of 13.4:1 means classroom teachers often have limited time for individual attention. The first session is an opportunity for the tutor to understand your student's academic strengths, challenges, and learning style. They'll assess what your student already knows, identify specific areas needing support, and develop a personalized plan aligned with their school's curriculum and your goals. This foundation helps tutors deliver targeted instruction from day one.
