I am currently pursuing my Masters in English Curriculum and Instruction. I was employed as a Paraeducator and Coach for the Independence School district. I worked with 9th and 10th grade students across all subjects however the majority of my time was spent working with Math. I coached 9th and 10th grad Basketball and Middle school track and field.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Central Missouri. I am an outgoing and enthusiastic academic tutor in the areas of mathematics (elementary math, algebra 1, algebra 2), German (German 1 & 2), and homework support. My hobbies and interests include computer science, tennis, games, movies, and social outings.

I am a certified English Language Arts teacher and currently teach 7th grade English Language Arts. I have experience teaching Pre-K through high school. I have previously worked as a tutor teaching reading skills and intervention to students in grades K-12. I specialize in reading comprehension.

I am here to help you improve your communication skills, as well as furthering along your ability to comprehend texts, in order for you to become the best student that you can possibly be.

I am most passionate about Latin, English, and Social Studies. I am fascinated by how language, literature and culture are interwoven and how they affect those around them. I get really excited about learning/re-discovering things and subsequently about teaching those things to my students. I believe that education is the best way to expand not only your mind, but to improve your situation and quality of life.

I am passionate about helping students find what makes them feel successful, inside or outside of the classroom. I have experience in special education and law, have spent over a decade in the classroom, and love being able to share my experiences to help students build their own success toolkits for their future careers.
