I'm a sophomore at Cornell University expecting to major in Government with minors in English, Inequality Studies, and Policy Analysis and Management. I'm interested in education policy and am excited to work as a tutor to help other students in the subjects I know well and to learn more about how private educational organizations can influence learning. I tutor in a wide variety of subjects, but I find SAT prep incredibly rewarding and love to help with English writing or reading.

I have been teaching for 7 years (5 years in Mexico and 2 years in Houston). I have taught levels from preschool to high school. Nowadays, I'm teaching Spanish, as it is my native language. I love teaching. I think it is important to love and enjoy what are you doing. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in May 2018. I am Pre-Med but majored in Romance Languages and Literatures. I was born in Colombia and speak Spanish at home. I studied abroad in France junior year of high school and in Chile junior year of college, and my experience abroad really strengthened my passion for languages and other cultures.The subjects that I feel strongest about are subjects where I have had teachers or professors who have been passionate about their subject and have allowed that passion to influence my own life; often times for me that has been my French and Spanish professors and my Biology professors. I hope to motivate students to try their best and enjoy learning the subject, regardless of whether they struggle with the subject or have other academic interests.
