The student and I continued covering QAR question comprehension strategy with classwork and homework from the week while utilizing a timer to engage and maintain homework focus to reduce homework time. Then we moved to a more independent stage with homework completion strategies through having her review the questions and sections she's reading, estimate how long each section would take (write it down), and record how long it actually took with the timer. She and I continued to problem solve through processing out loud what takes place in her mind when approaching tasks and questions to create more awareness to her thinking and task process, as well as generate strategies (tips and tricks) that work best for her when approaching reading/ English tasks.

The student and I are addressing English and History on a regular basis now. We are scheduling our sessions around when he has reports due so we can review together before he hands them in. He is working on improving the quality of his written assignments, eliminating typos, etc. He's starting this term very well. The focus will be on helping him retain concentration as the term progresses.

We covered centroids and orthocenters in geometry and practiced finding them on a triangle. We also covered vocabulary for the student's English class. By the end of the session, she seemed to have a good idea of how to find centroids and orthocenters on her own. She also improved on her vocabulary, though she should still practice.
