I am a retired CPA with 35 years experience managing tax departments for bank trust departments. My most fulfilling experiences involved teaching, coaching and mentoring staff, associates and clients. I hope to do more of this as a tutor.

Learning should be fun and uplifting. Everyone learns differently, and education is a lot more effective when the students feel they understand the subject matter. When a subject is presented in a way that engages the mind, true learning occurs. This is not achieved through rote memorization, but through feeling and understanding at the heart level.

I'm a freshman at the College of William and Mary studying finance and computer science. I've been tutoring since high school, and love how it allows me see familiar subjects from a different perspective. In my free time, I like to play rugby, spend time with my friends, and do Model UN.
