About Me

I was born in Russia and grew up in NYC where I attended Stuyvesant High School. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Binghamton University where I majored in mathematics and economics and completed a core group of science courses that were part of the Pre-Medical track. I am currently applying to medical school for admission next fall. I can offer assistance in mathematics, up to the differential equations level, as well as in microeconomics, macroeconomics, biology, chemistry and physics. I have taken advanced coursework in both math and economics and understand which skills and concepts are essential to develop early on in order to succeed in more advanced courses. I have had prior experience tutoring chess to students ranging from elementary school to high school. My grandma was a mathematics teacher back in Russia and her excitement and passion for mathematics helped foster my interest in math and science from an early age. I want to bring the same energy to not only improve my students' test scores but to build their appreciation for the subject matter as well.- Mikhail
