I am passionate about education, learning, teaching, and specifically literatures and languages. I have experience as an ESL teacher for young children and teens, as well as experience working as a Writing Consultant at my undergraduate institution. I also spent all four years of my undergraduate career volunteering as an SAT tutor for local high schoolers. Beyond this, I have experience both as a private and public Spanish tutor. I love to help students reach their educational and personal goals in any way that I can.

I am current student at The University of Chicago. I have extensive experience working with children in multiple settings. I am passionate about teaching, and hope I will be able to assist you in overcoming any academic struggles.

I am greatly passionate about (writing and literature), to help this student gain confidence in her learning abilities and get to a point where, instead of being discouraged, she could actually enjoy learning. I especially loved the moments when she reached a breakthrough in her understanding of a concept and was so happy that I had been able to use my knowledge to enhance her understanding and enjoyment of a topic. I tutored through out high school and continue to tutor in college as I help other students to realize their potential and achieve their goals.

I am a third year electrical engineering student at Princeton University, with a focus in applied physics, and minors in German studies and history. I want to tutor because I am always excited about learning new things, and I want to share this with students of all ages. I find that this way, a student can do difficult work, excel, and feel both accomplished and happy. I have a broad range of specialties, from physics, to programming in Java and C, to German, to test prep and college applications help. I also love workshopping all kinds of writing, whether personal or academic. Some of my qualifications include physics research at a Max Planck Institute and acceptances to Harvard and UC Berkeley. I have experience teaching environmental science to children at a botanical garden and volunteering as a reading tutor for elementary schoolers behind grade level.

I'm an international Affairs major at Princeton University minoring in Creative Writing and Chinese. I graduated from The Brearley School in New York City in 2011. At Princeton, I work in the writing center tutoring fellow students in critical thinking, analysis, and academic writing. I also have a good deal of experience helping elementary and junior high students with math, reading, and French. Still, writing remains my favorite subject to tutor, largely because of the discussions that accompany it. Outside of the classroom, I'm a varsity cross-country and track runner; an enthusiastic fan of the New Yorker fiction podcast; and am fascinated by military history and policy.

I am most comfortable teaching the SAT Reading/Writing and helping youths with their personal statements. Furthermore, my one-year experience as an AmeriCorps VISTA for PeaceJam Foundation – an award-winning organization that promotes service learning and peacekeeping through the combined efforts of Nobel Peace Laureates and young people – has instilled in me a deep reverence and hope for our youths today. I strongly believe in our youths’ limitless potential to pursue their dreams and become agents of positive social change and know I will be an excellent mentor/coach through their journey.

I am an engineering student at Princeton University. I have taken and tutored many AP subjects especially in the sciences and math. I have experience tutoring students of all ages in a variety of topics including test prep (ACT, AP Exams, etc.) and general science/math course tutoring. My focus is on helping students gain a critical understanding of the subjects at hand so they can apply that knowledge to solving a variety of problems.

I am a Biology major who graduated from Princeton University in the summer of 2020 and am set to begin Medical School at Howard University in the summer of 2021. In the meantime I am working as a scribe and clinical assistant for an orthopedic physician. I have been tutoring for years and am comfortable teaching middle school and high school students math and science. Whether it's fine tuning skills or starting from scratch I am able to provide the improvement needed to reach your goals. Diagnostic exams followed by lessons from mistakes made is my primary method of learning and what I have found to be the most successful.

I am currently a doctoral candidate in History of Science Program with an interest in the history of epidemics and funeral rites in North Africa and the Middle East. I graduated from Reed College (B.A. in Biology) and from Columbia University (M.P.H. in Sociomedical Sciences). Before beginning my graduate work at Princeton, I worked as a research assistant in an immunology/genetics laboratory, participated in Americorps, and conducted public health interviews for the New York City Department of Health. When I tutored in the past, I tried to adjust my methods according to the needs and learning style of the student. I tried to making learning accessible and fun for them while ensuring that they had the core skills that were necessary.

I'm Sid. I'm a freshman in Rutgers University, New Brunswick. I'm currently tutoring ACT test-taking. If you're a junior and you have to take a standardized test (like the SAT or the ACT), it can be pretty daunting. Believe me, I was in exactly the same position as you when I was a junior-- and that understanding of the situation means that I'll be able to give you a specific plan tailored towards handling these high pressure situations. And I'm confident that it'll work for you. Personally, I believe that success (whether it be small or large) is largely dependent on three factors. Planning, practice and timing (all of which falls under the umbrella of responsibility). And those are things that I target in my tutoring. So when you receive a lesson from me, you'll see that it's more than just rote section after section. It's more meaningful. Maybe you'll even learn a couple life lessons (I know I did). So take a leap of faith, and let's make that great ACT score happen.

I am a graduate of Boston College. I received my Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in French; my studies primarily focused on international affairs. I am passionate about teaching areas I focused on during my four years in Boston including history, government, and French but also have an established background in writing, literature, and English. I believe it is important to identify a unique approach for every student according to their specific needs because as I have learned, each student has individual strengths and difficulties. In my spare time I sail competitively, cook up new recipes, and keep up with current events.

I am a big believer in the power of flashcards! I even have multiple flashcard apps on my phone. For writing or English, a computer we can type through ideas on, and internet access to resources for grammar, vocabulary, etc. For history, I might bring additional books to help a student with a particular subject. For all subjects, I like to have a white board, so we can work through examples together.

I am currently a Master's Degree student at Princeton Theological Seminary. I would love to help you learn whatever you need to learn. I graduated as an Honor's Fellow from Calvin College with a 3.86 GPA. I got a 35 composite on my ACT, and I definitely get how hard it can be to study for a standardized test when its crunch time. I've tutored many different students for over 5+ years, and after graduate school my goal is to continue teaching. I'm a freelance writer, recent Yale grad, former concert pianist and word lover. For the past three years I've worked as a writing specialist at the Yale College Writing Center, where I edited papers on topics from Turkish prison reform to Faulkner to hemoglobin studies. This past summer, I traveled to 14 countries as part of the singing group Whim 'n Rhythm. On that trip, I taught a cappella, singing and choral workshops with students of all ages. It was incredible and hugely affirming -- music is truly a global language!
