How can Intermediate Accounting tutoring help you succeed?

Intermediate accounting asks students to work beyond the basics of their introductory accounting classes by drawing up financial statements that quantitatively represent more complex economic situations. Students may be asked to represent on paper specific types of annuities and bonds, a business inventory and equipment, its funds devoted to research and development, and income taxes, possibly while differentiating between the United States accounting standards and those used internationally.

You may be struggling with your intermediate accounting course for a variety of reasons. One such reason is that the breadth of the material is likely to challenge you with a few accounting practices and principles that you find counterintuitive. There is so much material to get through; it is unlikely that you will make it through an entire accounting course without coming across something you have a difficult time understanding. An expert tutor with experience in a wide range of accounting subjects can help in this regard because they can spend as much time with you as you need to master topics you are having trouble with.

We went over measurements with cups, pints, quarts and gallons. We did a spelling activity with dribbling a ball to practice spelling. I did a reading assessment and found that I need to work with comprehension, mostly for paying attention to details. The student would benefit from learning his multiplication facts, so we discussed a possible prize for learning facts. We also went over some problems from school that he needed to correct.

The student and I spent time going over his homework and topics that he had fallen behind with in Geometry. We worked on distinguishing between the substitution rule and transfer rule for proofs. I provided him with a visual tool to help him with word problems involving supplemental and complementary angles, and that seemed to help break down problems and simplify them.

Today I began with a review of the last word parts.  There were quite a few of these so we played a memory game to make the practice more entertaining.  Student 1 is very competitive and loves to win!  We focused on essay writing.  I introduced the different variables that the essay may be graded on: Spelling, Organization, Grammar, Neatness, etc. The students were very responsive to this and I plan to ask them to grade their own essays.  Student 2 wrote a complete essay in under 30 minutes and I was very impressed.  Student 1 is doing his pieces and will add three more paragraphs next time.  For math review, we finished the Quantitative Comparison questions.  Although this is new portion for the students, they both have a good grasp on the concept.  Great session today!

Today we went over a test review in preparation for her test coming up this next Monday. The review covered: graphing data boxes and determining the model function of the data; determining sine, cosine, tangent, csc, sec, and cot of a triangle's angle and using the Pythagorean them; solving inequalities; and finding degrees after so many rotations, etc. I feel that  she knows this material well and should ace her test Monday!
