My strength is that I have a wide range of education and have developed several study stragies through trial and error. I have great interpersonal skills which have really allowed me to be an excellent listener and be very observative. As a research assistant in the Social Competence and Treatment Lab in the psychology department at my university, my role as a behavioral coder had really allowed me to develop a unique skill of being able to analyze and be alert to body language and verbal ques that may normally go unnoticed. As a graduate student pursuing medicine, I am patient and acknowledge the dedication and work ethic it takes to do well academically. In my free time, I really enjoy working with my hands and crafting, I enjoy drawing, making collages, and painting. I make handmade jewelry and it keeps me discipled to not give up because it is difficult and frustrating at times when I don't get a certain skill perfect. Thank you

Something that I’ve grown to love is exercise. In the past, when fitness was new to me, I did not really know anything other than running on the treadmill. When my best friend who’s a bodybuilder introduced me to weight lighting, I fell in love with it. It was something very intimidating at first, but overtime as I grew more confident in doing it safely, it’s been my go-to for stress relief. It make me feel stronger, healthier and powerful. I also love boxing and am apart of Pink Gloves, which is an all-female club that radiates positively and girl power. During the semester when I was stressed about a test or just needed a pick me up, it was empowering to be surrounded by such amazing women and putting on my gloves and punching a bag really helped.
