Learn as if you were to live forever." ~ Mahatma GandhiAs a 2006 graduate of the University at Albany and current Doctorate student at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, I have a lot of student teaching experience and have been successful in helping those students thrive academically. I have always found much satisfaction and enjoyment in helping others reach their academic goals. I have an extensive past in tutoring students from different backgrounds and am able to reach out to students and provide them with a "head start" in mastering basic skills needed to succeed. I am challenged to be creative, nurturing, and most of all, patient. At the present time I am tutoring a number of students, both college students in Statistics, General Chemistry, and English, as well as high school students in Chemistry and Biology. All of my students are content with their academic progress, and I find great satisfaction in tutoring. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent academic tutor who will make a positive contribution to each of my student's academic lives. In addition, I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with a number of students as an Academic Coach through Greens Farms Academy, a prestigious private school in Westport, Connecticut. This role allows me to work with students in an attempt to guide them toward better decision making during their high school years, as well as beyond. The decision making can be regarding classes, study skills, examination preparation, and future short and long term goals. I am excited to have this experience enhance my knowledge of working with students of various backgrounds, and also give me a chance to share my skills. I have always found study skills and organization to be a key element in my tutoring approach because I feel it it necessary for students to learn how to eventually "branch out" and become less dependent on a tutor for instructions. My aim is to first, and foremost, help students immediately boost his or her grades, and then work on achieving the same on his/her own, gradually.
