As someone training to become a teacher, I've always had a passion for both learning and teaching. Growing up, basically everyone around me has said that they are either bad at math or they are just not capable of understanding it. I really want to change that, and part of that starts with experience. My goal is to start with personal tutoring in order to aid individuals with learning material, but I also want to learn how people learn and what methods help people the most. So I'm not just doing this to help students, I also wish to learn from this experience as well.

My name is Tiffany and I am currently a nursing student at Galen College of Nursing. I previously received a Biology Degree from Indiana University in 2004. I am really excited to be back to school again and I'm looking forward to the future. I have previously worked as a substitute teacher for elementary, middle and high school. I also have two children, one in 3rd grade and one in 5th grade. I feel like this makes me able to communicate well with kids. It has also helped me be aware of some of the new teaching strategies. I have tutored some of my fellow nursing students the past year. My strong suits are math and science, especially medical based science like anatomy and physiology. My psychology for tutoring is that everyone learns differently. Generally you just need to discover what strategies help you learn the best and build on that. I look forward to working with you.

I am a student at Duke University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with Chemistry and German minors. On campus I am involved in the Bilbo lab, which focuses on neuroimmune interactions in abnormal brain development. I am very passionate about helping others enjoy and learn about various fields in STEM.My role as a tutor is to help students navigate any difficulty they may have in the classroom. I strive to help students reach their academic potentials and gain confidence in their ability in the classroom. As a current undergraduate student, I can assist students in finding balance between achieving their academic goals and extracurricular activities. In my free time, I enjoy running, cooking, and cycling.

My initial thought of a career duringchildhood was being a teacher. I worked many years in the educational field, but finally fulfilled my dream of being a teacher in August of 2018. I am able to tutor grades k-5 in all subjects! I make learning fun AND educational!

My gifts and talents were meant to fulfill to be an Elementary Education teacher because I have patience to work with children. My name is Ethan Krone and I am a senior at Elon University. I am currently studying both International & Global Studies and Spanish as my majors with a Political Science minor. As a part of Varsity Tutors, my focus is to help others learn Spanish. I am a native English speaker from Indiana, but I have taken Spanish for over 8 years and have studied abroad in Peru during my time at Elon. I have also tutored students in Spanish throughout high school and college. My goal is to help others learn and improve upon the language.

I am a graduate of Indiana University who majored in Public Policy and Law and minored in International Studies. I'm heading to Law School in the fall of 2021. I decided to start tutoring after my brother had a positive experience on this platform and after a whole semester of helping pre-law students in my chapter organization. They were always intrigued on how I got through the infamous Logic Games. The attitude of "Beat the Mountain". I used this in study sessions with my peers in BC Calc and Algebra in High School and it comes in super helpful in the LSAT, because once, you find that one "difficult situation" and figure it out, it'll make the entire set in question that much easier. Something I learned long ago, while you may go to school for academics, do not forget to get educated along the way.

I am French and I've been living in the U.S.A for 6 years. I taught French to children for 3 years in an after-school program in Washington state. I moved in Illinois a few months ago and I would love to continue teaching French. I hold a substitute license from IL state and I am currently enrolled at National Louis University to get my full teaching license for middle/secondary education. Besides teaching, I love spending time with my 2 children, I also enjoy arts and crafts, reading, baking, walking and traveling!
