I am able to teach math and writing; skills that I have honed during my undergraduate education, at Hamilton College (same guy as the musical).

I am a graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a double major in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics and Anthropology. I am passionate about learning and teaching, and I am looking forward to experiencing both together!
I am passionate about teaching. I graduated from Gonzaga University in 2016 and will being graduate school at the University of Notre Dame this summer. I am fun to work with and can adapt quickly to suit any students' needs. Consequently, I can help students effectively learn material and develop lifelong study skills.
As a passionate educator with a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame, I thrive on empowering students in both math and chemistry. My tutoring experience includes working with high school students in subjects like pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry. I believe in fostering a supportive learning environment where students can conquer their apprehensions about challenging topics. By incorporating interactive problem-solving and encouraging students to explain concepts back to me, I ensure they grasp the material thoroughly. My background as a teaching assistant in analytical and organic chemistry has further honed my ability to connect with students and make complex subjects accessible.
I am a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame, IN, where I earned my doctoral degree in contemporary American poetry. Before that I earned my masters in English at Wake Forest University, NC. I am passionate about poetry, writing, and the English language, and dedicated to helping others understand and achieve competence in the writing process. I have taught college-level composition courses, as well as a poetry course, and have tutored at Wake Forest University's writing center for two years, and therefore have experience in coaching students at different skill levels through many stages of the writing process, including formulating arguments, brainstorming ideas, handling grammatical issues, finding sources for research, and revising essays. I continue to enjoy meeting students where they are and walking with them through the learning process. We are all students of language; I find a deep satisfaction in enabling others to become great students.
I am currently a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame. I am majoring in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
After graduating from a United World College Southern Africa with a Bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma. Before continuing to college, I took a gap year where I volunteered at HigherLife Foundation where I worked as a success mentor; in this position I focused on teaching high school students learning how to learn and how to succeed in exams. After this chapter I continued my college studies at Earlham College as a double major in Data Science and Global Management with a minor in mathematics. During my college years, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for Elementary Statistics where I taught statistics to all year groups. I also taught International Student Success where I focused on helping first year international students adjust to a second culture and succeed in their academic career. Since graduation, I have started a consulting job where I focus on improving the South Bend as a data practitioner. During my leisure time, I like to go for a bike ride in the forest and do wildlife photography.
I love helping students unlock their potential and develop confidence in their learning. My teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering critical, data-driven thinkinghelping students approach problems like scientists: observing, analyzing evidence, and drawing thoughtful conclusions. I create a supportive, engaging environment where questions are encouraged, and learning is active. My goal is to help you become a curious, science-driven human who makes decisions based on evidence and reasoning!
Hi I'm Quinton! I'm a PhD student at the University of Notre Dame and I love talking about chemistry! To me, chemistry is a hands-on, creative discipline, much like art, where we solve problems and design things the world hasn't seen before. As your tutor, my goal is to help you build the skills and confidence you need to think critically, approach challenges creatively, and build a deep, genuine understanding of the material.
I'm not tutoring or buried in my textbooks, you will either find me rock climbing at the Triangle Rock Club, playing Ultimate Frisbee, working on my car, or enjoying the great outdoors (beaches, mountains, forests--you name it, I love it). On rainy weekends I enjoy tinkering with computers and old electronics, playing Pokemon, or picking at my guitar.
I am an interdisciplinary educator with an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. My background is primarily in integrated arts learning and museum education and I specialize in visual arts, history and art history, and object-based learning. In all subjects, I take a creative, inquiry-based and learner-centered approach, designing opportunities for each unique individual to meet their learning goals.
I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well. My primary areas of tutoring are math and statistics coursework in addition to math sections on standardized tests such as the GRE and GMAT. I am very passionate about helping students feel more confident and excited about math. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.
