About Me
I am currently a student studying English Education at Taylor University after graduating from Grapevine Faith Christian School in May 2015. In high school, I took a variety of AP, Honors, and Dual Credit classes. When I took the ACT, I received a perfect score on the English portion and scored very highly on the writing, reading, and science sections as well. Because I took the test so recently, I am very familiar with its format and can help students develop strategies to answer questions quickly and correctly. I have always had a love for all aspects of English--grammar, literature, writing, etc.--and truly have a passion for instilling that love in other students. As a college freshman, I have already completed a semester of classroom hours in local schools and am currently completing my second semester of teacher observation. In addition, I have gained real-world, hands-on experiences tutoring, teaching lessons, and performing other classroom duties with individual students, small groups, and entire classrooms. As a future teacher, one of my goals is to make sure that each student realizes how valuable he or she is and recognizes his or her potential to learn. I truly believe that every student is capable of reaching his or her personal academic goals, and while those goals can and will look different for each student, I am prepared to tailor my tutoring style to each individual's strengths and weaknesses.
