I am a graduate of The University of Oklahoma. I received my Bachelor's of Music in Music Composition in December of 2018, and will be receiving my Master's of Music of Music in Music Composition this May. I enjoy helping students because of the impact my teachers and professors have had on me. Being able to pay it forward is my way of paying it back to those who helped me throughout school and college. As a child, my parents were told that I would not be able to learn, but through the efforts of my mom and others, I was able to excel; I want to be that extra help that others may need. I have excelled in the areas of music, math, and writing, and look forward to teaching in all of these areas. I also anticipate helping in ACT prep. I'm currently an undergraduate at Yale University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English. While I am most passionate about English Literature, I tutor a wide range of subjects, including SAT and ACT Prep, High School Level Math, and French Language.Over the past few years, I've become truly passionate about teaching. In high school, I worked as a private tutor for a middle school student. Since starting college, I've taught a seminar every semester to local high schoolers on "Sample-Based Hip-Hop." Both of these experiences have been incredibly fulfilling and have taught me a lot about the inner-workings of good pedagogy. My passion is working with teenagers and college students, but I have also tutored elementary school students and worked in a kindergarten classroom. I have worked extensively with students who have Asperger Syndrome, Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cognitive Disabilities.Before I taught, I worked part-time at the Office of Undergraduate Admission @ Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). I am also a proud alumnus of NU, and enjoyed my time there tremendously.Over the past two years, I have worked with almost 30 high school students on the ACT in my own private practice. I have graduated from Rice University and will be starting medical school at Virginia Tech Carilion this fall (2022). In my gap year, I was a research enrollment analyst at Baylor Scott and White Health in Texas working at the cardiology department. I have a keen interest in pediatrics and oncology. I have extensive experience tutoring, as a third year intern at Girlstart, a nonprofit organization aimed towards educating young girls in STEM subjects in order to reduce the gender gap seen in corporate America. I am most passionate about biology and chemistry. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.

At a young age, I had been exposed to the benefits of tutoring. I seemed to work at a slower pace and have a harder time understanding concepts compared to my peers. However with a tutor I found that my pace quickened allowing me to catch up. Later on in my academic career I found through tutoring others I have developed a more in depth understanding of the material, which I desire to have. By tutoring others, I am able to pay it forward and help guide those who are having difficulty, like many have help guided me. My specialization and major is Chemistry. Chemistry is easily my favorite topic although I would not consider it "easy". Understanding key concepts and fundamentals will allow others to see the depth and the amazing things chemistry can show us.I am grateful to all of those who tutored me in the past and I would like to pass it on by sharing what I have learned to others! I am a recent college graduate from the University of Oregon. I have spent the last 4 years studying pure mathematics and obtaining a physics minor.I tutor both math and physics, however, math is very much my favorite. I love to approach problems from several different angles and figure out which makes the most sense for each individual student. I also think using visual applets and allowing the student to grasp an intuitive feel can help the student become an expert test taker. I also enjoy time management strategizing. I have spent my last 4 years as a D1 acrobatics & tumbling college athlete, so I truly feel like a time management expert.In my spare time I love exploring Oregon, and traveling anywhere I get the opportunity to go.

I started tutoring when I was in High School in France, and even traveled to Switzerland to teach Swiss girls french at a catholic summer school program. I then tutored math in a Montgomery College for a year, where I receive my associate in Bioengineering. I am a native French speaker and lived in France for six years, and I also have an overwhelming passion for science, especially mathematics. I am very comfortable tutoring math from the lowest level to Calculus 2 and my favorite subject to tutor is Calculus I, especially derivations. My philosophy of teaching is very relaxed, but I am very persistent about making sure that my student understands the topic I am tutoring.Outside of academia, I like to play badminton and discover new places whenever I get the chance.
